Sophie Approved ~ We LOVE! With UPDATE!
UPDATE: October 23, 2017:Last week, I had to leave the living room. Sophie was chewing her blue Kong rubber bone so since I was only going to be out of the room for a minute...I had no problem leaving her there.Sound strange? Not if you have a really nosy, SNEAKY bulldog who gets into almost anything!! So I cam back in the room, and Sophie was sitting on her couch bed chewing her blue bone. Before I go on - I have to say I'm a big fan of coloring books and have all kinds of pencils, markers and gel pens.WELL. Somehow, my Sophie found a Metallic Blue PERMANENT Marker <that I bought from Amazon>, and SNEAKILY started chewing it behind the blue bone so I couldn't see it when I cam back in the room. I just thought she was chewing the bone...UNTIL - she came over to my couch and jumped up, sat down, and stared at me. It took doing a double take to see my Sophie now had blue feet and a blue mouth! I freaked...thought ""OMG what kind of bone leaks the color" and went to throw it away, when I saw it. She ate the s*** out of that pen!! It was in pieces. All over her couch bed. Then I freaked thinking she poisoned herself. After a really good inspection - there wasn't one little blue spot in her mouth..amazingly! But - the couch bed didn't fare as well. See photo below!! I also put a few of Sophie so you could see her paws and her "Jabbles" <that's what we call them anyways>. BLUE Permanent Ink!!! ACKKkkWell - I cleaned up the pen parts, took the fabric off the bolsters and bed and tossed it in the washing machine, hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Well...to my surprise <and a ton of OxiClean Max Force Laundry Stain Remover Spray 12 ounce (pack of 1) > everything came out PERFECT! No blue stains whatsoever. There is one spot that has just a tinge of blue...but that's it. I don't have to throw the couch bed away and I LOVE this even more now. I mean - WHO ever gets permanent ink out of anything?!!!<This also speaks a lot for Oxy Max Force Stain Remover!!!These are the markers I bought on Amazon that she chewed: Write Dudes Infinity Metallic Permanent Markers 8-Count Assorted Colors (CYB80) JULY 7 2017:I'm always looking for things our Bulldog Sophie would like to play with, or use as a bed. We have a dog bed in our bedroom, one in her kennel, and one in our living room. The one in the living room is what I replaced with this one.Sophie is an English / American Bulldog mix and she weighs 89 pounds, which is fairly big for a bulldog. She looks just like an English but has the energy of an American.Sophie is a very, VERY aggressive chewer. She doesn't care if it's her Antlers, daddy's really expensive cowboy boots, my WAY expensive Harley Davidson boots, or any of her beds. We used to buy her furry toys but stopped after spending $5 - $10 on a stuffed toy and she eats it in less than a minute. Every time I get her a bed...she just HAS to chew it. She has ruined others that cost a whole lot more than this one, but so far she's only chewed it for a few seconds then she laid on it.This Jumbo Sofa Bed came in a huge box, and had plastic wrapped around it. I thought the bed would have a strong smell to it as it is Suede, but once out of the packaging, it had no smell. Still, I wanted to wash the cover before she got to use it.I washed it in my washing machine on Gentle - COLD water. I let it air dry and when it was just about dry...I put it in the Dryer for 10 minutes with softener sheets to make it softer and smell really good.I had absolutely no problem putting the cover back on. I was concerned the fuzzy fabric would shed a lot, like a few other ones I got her did, but it only shed minimally.I put the Sofa in our living room just after dinner, and she went right to it...sat on it, and started to play/chew it. She stopped after maybe a minute...but she did no damage to the sofa. No holes, rips or tears. She just lays on it now. <we think her chewing is her way of testing everything!>Sophie really likes the Bolsters. She lays her head on them, and when she falls asleep she sinks down onto the fur part and rolls on her back <which is hilarious to see...arms & legs straight in the air...head stuffed in a corner.>. OK so the Bolsters aren't super firm...but that's OK because Sophie doesn't like them hard. And, yes she has a bog ole heavy head and the Bolsters may squish down after a while...but I'll worry about it when/if we get there. The Egg Crate "Mattress" is perfect for Sophie. She has a bad hip from playing in her pool...she slipped on the grass when she was about a year old and ever since she has a little limp when she over does it. So far...she's been laying on this Sofa for hours at a time and is perfectly happy. When the Egg Crate runs out of gas...I'll go to the store and buy another one and cut it down and stuff it in the cover....NO Egg Crate "Mattress" lasts a long time. I know because I use one every single day on our bed. <I broke my neck and back in the military and these "mattresses" are a huge help to me>. If Sophie seems to be uncomfortable - I'll just buy one, cut it to size and stuff it under the one already there to give her added support. But for now she seems very comfortable! Another option is, if you and your pet really like this Sofa Bed...you can buy Seat Replacement Foam and cut it down to size to fit...I did this for a couch of our that the cushions were really cheaply made...and it worked perfectly. Amazon sells Seat Replacement Foam.Sophie has extremely thin hair, and when she goes outside for longer than 15 minutes - we have to put sunscreen on her as she burns very quickly. And due to such thin hair, she is ALWAYS cold inside. The furry part of this Sofa is perfect! I usually put her "blanky" down for her, but she has yet to go near it.Now - I read quite a few reviews and there are a lot of negative ones - my dog was digging and it is in pieces....my dog chewed it and now it's useless...it's not the Sofa's fault your dog chewed or dug it and ruined it!! There are NO dog chewer proof fabrics in this world...and I've spent a lot of time and a TON of money looking and buying things that say "For Aggressive Chewers"...HA! They haven't met my Bulldog!!Also...if you received a dirty Sofa...try contacting the Seller or Amazon and have it replaced BEFORE you write a negative review. Sometimes stuff happens and all is not as perfect as it should be. If your item gets replaced and you get a beautifully clean item..THEN write a review and tell us all about it. I can't stand it when people write negative reviews on things that have NOTHING to do with the actual item...or they write bad things about something they could have fixed...and didn't. And if you just don't like something...don't put a negative review...not everything is going to be to our liking...that doesn't mean it's the items fault! And yes, I do know there are items out there that just plain old should never have been made. This Sofa Pet Bed, in my HONEST opinion...is not one of the bad ones. I'm sure there are better ones out there...but I bought this one. It has what I was looking for for my dog, the price was right, it got here on time and in excellent condition, and most importantly of all...my baby LOVES her new Sofa Bed. And because of that - I'm a happy person!I definitely recommend this for a dog or cat...or even your pet pig...whatever your pet is <as long as it's not an Alligator or Elephant>, and definitely recommend the Seller. Thanks FurHaven!

Holds shape and easy to wash
Bought the jumbo XXL memory foam version because our 65lb Malinois is a hog and sleeps ridiculously. She loves the bolster and it's generously filled, I don't have to fluff out and reroll it until I wash the covers (usually once a month). The bottom bed foam is very thick and dense which I wanted, and hasn't shown any signs of changing shape at all. We use the downstairs bed as her place command, so it gets a good deal of abuse as she rockets into and out of it. Cover seems to wash well and doesn't pill, thin, mat or shred, despite getting stick vacuumed every day. The cover is polyester and very plush, so she tends to avoid it after exercise or when she's generally running hot. In the second photo when she's sleeping like a normal dog, you can see how we probably could have gone with the XL instead. We immediately purchased a second for upstairs.

Exceptional Comfort and Quality for My Furry Friend!
I recently purchased the Furhaven Large Orthopedic Dog Bed Quilted Sofa-Style with a removable washable cover, and I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase. This dog bed has exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort, durability, and overall quality.First and foremost, the orthopedic design of the bed is a game-changer for my older dog. The foam base provides excellent support for his joints, relieving any pressure points and ensuring he gets a good night's sleep. I've noticed a significant improvement in his mobility and overall well-being since using this bed. It truly offers therapeutic benefits for dogs with arthritis or joint issues. The quilted sofa-style design adds a touch of elegance to any room. It blends seamlessly with my home decor, and the bolstered sides provide a cozy spot for my pup to rest his head or curl up against. The size is perfect for larger breeds, allowing ample space for stretching out or changing positions. One of the standout features of this dog bed is the removable washable cover. As a pet owner, I appreciate how easy it is to keep the bed clean and fresh. The cover is made of high-quality fabric that withstands frequent washing without losing its shape or softness. It's a major time-saver and ensures that my dog's bed always remains hygienic.I also want to commend Furhaven for their commitment to durability. The bed's construction is top-notch, with sturdy stitching and reinforced corners. It has stood up to my dog's digging and scratching, showing no signs of wear and tear. This bed is built to last, and I am confident it will continue to provide exceptional comfort for years to come.Overall, I cannot recommend the Furhaven Large Orthopedic Dog Bed Quilted Sofa-Style enough. It has become my dog's favorite spot in the house, and I have peace of mind knowing he's comfortable and well-supported. The combination of comfort, style, and durability makes this dog bed worth every penny. If you're looking for a five-star dog bed, look no further - this one is a winner!

Great bed at a great price
I bought 3 of these, and I feel like they are good quality for the $65 each that I paid. The bolster comes compressed with the foam, and the instructions recommend to place in the dryer with a wet rag. That didn’t do much to fluff up the first bolster that I tried that with. I ended up taking all of the bolsters and spending about 45 seconds each roughing up the batting with my hands and fingers, as if I were kneading dough. This worked well to fluff them up. I am 115 lbs and I can lay on a bed placed on the tile floor without feeling the floor with my knees and elbows. My 65 lb dogs really love these beds.

Excellent replacement cover
I purchased two extra large beds three years ago for my two big granddogs (90 and 120 lbs) and one of the covers needed replacing. This cover has been excellent and fit perfectly as it is the same brand.
