Getting to know the Archers
Love the way this is written in short slots just like the radio. It’s a great way to have a fix of my favourite radio show and learn more about the history. It’s easy to imagine Ambridge in the War with this book and the other one in the set

Excellent second book in the trilogy
This book introduces characters known to modern day listeners to the Archers. Reading about them as young people and their families during the war years sheds some light on their attitudes in later life.A must for Archers fans

Brilliant book
If you love The Archers, this is the beginning of a fabulous journey around Ambridge and where it all began. The characters are amazing.

Really good.
This second book about the Archers is as good as the first. I read it in two sittings and I loved it. I have never ever listened to The Archers but after reading both books I am going to start at the beginning and try and get through them all. This author Catherine Miller has obviously researched the world of The Archers diligently and I am in awe of her imagination and depth of knowledge in creating both books about what happened before The Archers began. Bravo! This is a wonderful book that I am sad to finish and I hope there is a third installment. Five stars because I am unable to leave ten.
