So comfortable!
These are the only reasons I can skate for hours and hours without discomfort: my left ankle bump protrudes a little bit more than my right so this really helps with comfort while skating. I ended up just wearing it on both feet to be even but it’s awesome. It protects the bump of the ankle really well without making the boot feel too stiff and tight.

A bit thicker then expected but it’s a good thing I guess.
The media could not be loaded. Arrived very fast. They are thicker then I expected but also very stretchy so with the good stretch I can control how thin I need it in the boot. Can’t wait to try it on the ice. These are awesome. I can’t believe that I finally can focus on my training instead of pain. Will recommend to everyone now.Better than my gel ankle sleeves, that would take space in the boot and provide extra padding where I don’t need.

For Neww Boots
I recently bought some high-quality new riding boots to replace my faithful old ropers, and found that they were chafing my ankles. Breaking in new riding boots can be a challenge so I was not surprised. As part of my break-in plan I purchased these pads and placed them over the part of my outer ankles being chafed before pulling on the boots. To ensure they wouldn't slip around inside my socks I placed large bandages over the pads to keep them in place. This, in addition to the other flexing and softening techniques I used on the boots, solved the problem. Yesterday I wore the boots most of the day (without the pads) and they were fairly comfortable in and out of the saddle. The boots will naturally take some time to provide a fully comfortable fit. Riders and other boot wearers would do well to look online for tips on softening new boots. I found these pads by specifically looking on Amazon.
