I make a fantastic pasta and cheese and always have some vacuum sealed packages in my freezer for last minute dinners. But, I grew up on the blue boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, usually sharing a box with one of my sisters after school. I made it for my daughter for special occasions and she makes it for her kids as well even though she also makes a mean pasta and cheese. I have to add that we always add vegetables. For the past year, I've been purchasing assorted prepackaged mac and cheese options and I've learned what works for us and what does not work for us. I do not like the packages with a cheese sauce at all and my neighbors are happy for that because they accept them in the bags of food I share. I tried this box of 18 individual servings because they have less packaging, are prepared in the microwave and involve only a bowl, spoon and glass for measuring 2/3 cup of water. No cover for the bowl, nothing else added unless you want vegetables and I'd suggest adding them after the package is prepared. First of all, the water boils violently, so use a bowl larger than you think you need. Watch it carefully the first time you prepare one so you can stop the microwave if necessary unless you don't mind losing some of the starchy water and having to clean the microwave interior. Secondly, the bowl will be HOT, so watch younger kids who might want to prepare these on their own. Those are my only warnings. After 3.5 minutes, the pasta is likely done, so remove the bowl, add the powdered cheese powder, stir, wait a minute, add what you want to add, eat. It is salty, my only real criticism. The look and taste is very similar to the blue boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and you have a single serving which prevents eating more than you really need or want to eat for a meal or heavier snack. The school aged and younger kids love these and they take up no space in the refrigerator, freezer, and require no reheating the next day. Just open another packet if you are so inclined and repeat. These are not the nutritious meals I like to prepare, serve or consume, but for their ease, taste, satisfaction, reduced packaging and cost, I think they are one of the best in this category.

These Kraft Easy Mac packets are great for a small snack or meal for me. The quality is o-kay (it's Kraft, not gourmet Mac n cheese) for what it is. The texture is a bit mooshy compared to when you make a regular box of Kraft on the stove, but that's to be expected when you put noodles in the microwave. The filling usually requires some extra water after you cook it in order to mix it in well. The noodles are standard thickness. Also, if you get these and cook them in a bowl, it's less than half the price of the ones that come inside of cups. I really like that they have this option! I also add a small amount of butter, and pepper to give it some more taste, cause it is a bit bland. Milk would work as well. It makes it a bit creamier than when you just use water.

I haven't eaten this in ages. For reference, I'm a 40 something simgle mom to 1 who is now grown and I spent more than a decade working in childcare. Between myself, my child and countless children through 10+ years I've not only made but consumed my fair share of Kraft mac and cheese!! This way, the cups and the blue box!! My family and my kiddos friends could no longer stomach the blue box after they changed their cheese recipe. I tried pawning off that stuff forever on my kid and friends and they would rather go hungry. Ffwd theif trying soooooo many mac and cheese and i found myself buying Easy Mac on a whim expecting to suffer through it. Prior to this I landed on Annies and Cabot mac and cheese for myself. It's a comfort food. Annnnyywayyyy. This was acultually fairly good, I mean as good as powdered cheese and noodles can be. I enjoyed it so much in fact that I hopped on Amazon looking for a more bulk way to buy and found these! And I bought 2 boxes. I do 2 things. I never bulk batch them. 1 serving per sitting- I just make another later. And 2 I add some cheese powder I also bought off amazon not Kraft brand because I think the Easy Mac just lacks cheesy flavor. It needs some omph.

I have bought this many times. If you like mac and cheese you will like this. It is definitely filling for a packet. Make sure to cook it long enough, I go with 4 minutes myself cooks well. I have ordered this for years and it is a great go to if you need a cheap quick meal that is filling and tastes good. For the price this is amazing to have on hand.

I love these for when I don't want to make a whole box it doesn't come with packaging that is big and bulky it has only a plastic wrapped around the noodles and the cheese sauce package attached to the side. I can use my bowl and know it won't over flow in the microwave. It still tastes the same as the bowls or boxes so it's still a delicious nostalgic treat when I need it.

Saves time and waste, good for school/ work and even appointments as long as there is access to a microwave and quick meals. Same size serving as a “KD Cup”. Tastes like the original version and i like how it’s not a huge box meant for four people when I am cooking it for myself only. I was excited when I saw these so ordered them right away. They were just as I remembered...delicious. Fast and convenient.

3 pouches came not sealed in the box and there is no option for replacement or compensation for the loss. kind of disappointing for a $30 purchase..
