Wonderful Cookie Recipes (And Confection Recipes)
This has fun recipes and terrific tips. There are many classics as well as what I'll call new classics. Love the Around The World chapter. The book even included holiday confections--love the recipe and tips for Peppermint Bark. The Cookie Exchange Party has very appealing recipes and creative options. I made the malted milk chocolate cookies, and all I can say is that they are so good they are addicting. I attached a picture of them and other recipes I made from Elisabet's book. The icebox pinwheel cookies are tasty and so darn pretty. They are easy to make, just take a little longer with preparation. The chocolate dipped (and I made some without chocolate) are so good I've been asked to make them every year during the holiday season. A beginner baker will appreciate all of the details and how-tos--especially the end of the book that addresses special ingredients and the resources for them. An advanced baker will get some ah ha's from the tips and very much enjoy the recipes. All recipes and instructions are detailed, straight forward, and well thought out--especially for any level baker. I'm ordering another now to give as a gift.

Ingredients aren't weighed - Measuring is EVERYTHING!
I've only tried one recipe, the Alfajores one and they were delicious. The only thing I didn't like is that the ingredients are not listed in grams/weight. Cup measurements produce inconsistent results.

BEST cookie book
Recipes are easy to follow and obviously checked (as opposed to "guessed" or "approximated"). Everything always comes out perfect. I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Gave these as early Christmas gifts
I had a lot of people to buy for, for Christmas, so I got a bunch of these. I wrote a sweet note inside and wrapped it up cute. Everyone loved them. I sent them a little early, so they could use it for their holiday baking.

Need giant surface for pin wheel cookies!!
I am in the middle of making the pin wheel cookies. So far she forgets to tell us to start in a big bowl. She never tells us WHaT to roll the dough out ON. Then when you roll out the dough in white, red and green, she doesn’t offer tips on how to get the dough unstuck from the surface (I used a marble board BTW). Unless you have access to a giant surface, I’m not sure how to handle it. So I did my best but rolled dough out layers on top of each other - so all the layers got smooshed. They are are in the fridge now... tomorrow we will bake and then see!

Love it! Great reference. Looks good on the counter. Feels great in the hand. Great book!
Bought to sit in my cookbook stand for the holidays. I had people asking to borrow it because it has some amazing recipes in it. Love it. And I could eat holiday cookies all year round. Very glad I have this. You can never have too many cookie recipes!
