Just what I needed

Haven't tested max throughput yet, but it appears to handle everything without slowing down even the rj45 port. Has simplified my gaming and network table that is overly complex and solved the issue of having 3C/2A ports on my laptop where the c ports or open and are the only thing available.My only gripe is the short cable that is hardwired. Manageable, but also makes for an awkward positioning when on a cooling pad or used on a tower. Star knocked for design issue, I wasn't sure by the pictures, it wasn't clarified anywhere, now I have to decide if it will wear down my ports or is an extension needed. It's floating off the ground and is a bit if an eye sore as I can't tuck it anywhere with this rigid, short and fat cable. The wire has some issues too ;) giggidy.Bit of free IT here...IF you lose your internet and it says disconnected. Simply go to device manager, Uninstaller the driver and reinstall. Do not auto update the driver with windows while using the port. Use the base port or wifi. My driver broke and it took me a bit to realize it had updated and crashed its driver and windows restarting didn't fix it. Simple, easy, reliable enough, I have an on board 2.5gb port on the laptop so no idea if that will be an issue for others, but it won't for me.

I use it to transfer photos from memory cards to SSD drives while traveling. I can connect it to my tablet, plug in a charger, my card reader and SSD storage device to back up photos. Not blazingly fast, but fast enough. I could connect 2 SSD devices, but I don't want to overload the bandwidth. I use this instead of a 12 pound laptop with charger.

It's a good product.
