I got this set of pliers because I fly fish. First the last case is nice and sturdy and unlike ballistic nylon you don’t have to worry about it drying. It all attaches to you. The case and pliers so if you drop them you don’t loose them. Cutters are extremely sharp and replaceable. Super value for the money. Can’t go wrong with a set of pliers like these

This will be the only review you need to read on these pliers. Grab your popcorn and get cozy, I’m going to explain why I gave this product 5 stars, despite a few complaints. Summary: Great value and hold up to Saltwater and abuse. For the unabridged version, please see below.It occurred to me to write this because, after owning these for 18 months now, I finally noticed the cutters starting to weaken in cutting power. Specifically, they will only cut when I put the line to one end of the cutters and press down very hard. Although I was bummed, I was not shocked. As I’ll emphasize throughout, you will be hard-pressed to beat the value that these pliers offer at the price point they’re at. Luckily, I was able to quickly locate the replacement cutters on the Piscifun website for under $9 shipped to me in FL which I was very happy about. I fish about 200 days per year, primarily saltwater, I use them to cut braid, mono, fluoro, and steel, and they have held up nicely. When I originally purchased them there wasn’t a ton of pliers at this price point with credible reviews so I didn’t have much of a choice. Trust me, I looked because I was not a huge fan of the pliers not having a different kind of grip, you know, the ones with the rubber around the handles that look like they will stay put even when wet and under the pressure of a 30” Snook thrashing at the water line. However, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised that they stay put and won’t easily slip out of your hand. If you look up some of the highest end pliers out there you will notice they share similar design look so I guess it has worked for others as well and probably reduced material cost to be offered at this affordable price. While these did come with a sheath and lanyard, I prefer to have a sheath with a clip that simply clips over the top of your pant/short line. These require you to put your pants belt through the loop which requires more work to get them off and, moreover, I don’t typically like to wear belts when I’m fishing, but again, at this price point I was very surprised they even came with the sheath and lanyard and have held up like they did. I will mention that after most saltwater outings they were rinsed with freshwater. That is obviously a huge difference maker, but you should be doing that anyway. I’ve also used these on quite a few occasions for opening split rings to replace old trebles and they have performed as expected. You will also notice I gave these five stars. That is because I believe you must rate the product according to value, which is really hard to beat as, at the time of the review, we’re on sale for $19! Other pliers around the same price point have since entered the market. One that comes to mind are the Kast King pliers with the orange rubber-looking grips. A fishing buddy of mine actually purchased them very recently and they have held up great so far, and while I personally like the feel of those better, it all comes down to preference and I am near to tell you that these Piscifun pliers are a great value buy and if you’ve had your eye on these then give them a shot.

Nice looking and feels sturdy. Cuts mono lines and braids from 10-65 lb. well. Does not leave frayed ends. The braids are somewhat new and seen light use so far, so I don't know if heavy used braids would cut as clean. But it cuts better than the braid scissors I have. Used the split ring end with Owner hyperwire split rings on 100-150g GT FightClub poppers.With no. 6 I had no issues. No. 8 was not as smooth. I used Texas Tackle Large (green handle) split ring pliers to get it started then switched back to the Piscifun to fully install the split ring since it's size makes it more comfortable. For no.10 rings it could not split the rings far enough to seat, but my TT Large also couldn't to the job due to the large diameter wire on these poppers. Will get the TT XL pliers for the no. 10 rings tomorrow.After working with the split rings for a while, I noticed that the plier tip had probably deformed a small fraction which made opening the spring activated jaws a little sticky. At first blamed the spring but traced the stickiness to the plier tip. Best to not use these on heavy rings like no. 10. In summary, these are good to have in your tackle bag/box as long as you know it's limitations.

Way better than the one i use to have. Light. Comes with a hold. But i do wish the holder can be a little tighter so the plier doesn't fall off. But goes good with my same brand backpack. Great combo.

Needed to replace my older aluminum pliers. They worked ok but never felt good in the hand. I have large hands and my old pliers simply didn't fit right. in addition, they had smooth handles with little grip and I was having trouble keeping them in my hand. I'm very pleased with my new Piscifun aluminum fishing pliers! The finger molds in the handle and cool ergonomic design really helps in gripping the pliers. The Piscifun pliers feel comfortable and light in the hand. They give me the confidence of a secure grip which puts my mind at ease on rough water. It's a huge bonus the Piscifun pliers come with a very effective coiled lanyard and snap ring. The pliers come with a medium heavy sheath with a reinforced lanyard hole in the top and belt loop on the back. The lanyard on the pliers fits very nicely into the hole near the top of the sheath. Cool Idea and works great. I use a Velcro strap through the belt loop on the back of the sheath to attach the sheath to my seat pedestal. It's convenient, works great and keeps me from accidentally dropping my new pliers overboard. With my old pliers the carbide cutters dulled after a year and I could no longer cut braid with them. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the Piscifun aluminum pliers had fully replaceable tungsten carbide cutters. It's about time what a great idea. I've found the tungsten carbide cutters on my piscifun pliers to be extremely sharp. The cutters work great for both braid and mono. The pliers are spring loaded which really helps with keeping the pliers open while holding on to a big fish with one hand. The pliers jaws have great grip and appear to be stainless steel. They have been excellent for spit rings and removing deep hooks. Overall I'm very pleased with these fishing pliers. I've decided to get a second pair for the back of the boat. Highly recommended.

These pliers are a must have if you are looking for a pair of fishing pliers. The belt clip is very convenient, and is very sturdy. The pliers themselves are very well built, lightweight, and the cutters work flawlessly for cutting braid. I definitely recommend picking up a pair.

Dont know what negative reviews are about!! For the money they are great quality. Nice and light weight very functional. I got black with rubber sheath gives them nice tactical look. Can clip on belt and it rotates! For this price they are far better than i expected i would not hesitate to buy again for myself or as a gift. Very nice packaging. Would i get the nylon sheath probably not but the rubber sheath style is sweet as far as looks and build quality!!! 5 stars all the way.

These pliers have everything you need as a fisherman and the cutters are razor sharp and replaceable. They cut braided line like it’s nothing. One thing I would change is add a molle compatible attachment to the case to mount it on the Piscifun fishing backpack instead of carrying on belt.

For the money these are absolutely amazing!!!! Just buy them you won’t regret it

Solid 4/5. Good length. Enough leverage to get hooks out of bass and pike. Still cuts my braid.Heavily used, fish twice a week at least. Still holding up. Would recommend the longer length.
