I purchased a returned one of these chalkboards for a little bit of a discount. It is exactly what I wanted. Like any chalkboard, it had to be primed with chalk to work well, but once primed the chalk draws great! There were hanging hooks on both the long side and short side, but I removed the hooks off the long side because they show when hung. It hangs out a bit but I plan to use no-damage wall hanging stickers to hold it once I decide where I want it exactly. I quickly drew a quote and need more practice so don’t judge 🙂

Great size chalkboard. My customers could see it from across the room. Not easy to clean. Sponges off the chalk wasn’t coming off in all areas. Took a good scrubbing. Came with a sticker on the front, which I had to remove with adhesive remover which did not help.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the description stated that it was suitable for both dry and wet chalk, but I found it really hard to write on with dry chalk. I will only be using wet chalk markers on this moving forward. Also, I wish it were magnetic, but it's not. Otherwise, this board looks great, and it's a good size/quality for the price!

Perfect writing texture. Not one of the "slick" blackboards.

Nice looking chalkboard, however, we had a serious issue with seasoning it. We ran long side of the chalk the board came with across the board to "season". As you can see in the photos, it has left permanent scratch marks that will not rub out ever after wiping with damp cloth and reseasoning. The chalk they included seems a bit gritty compared to other chalk we have. Not sure if this is the reason for the issue. Took several photos of the scratches while reseasoning, detailed and after damp wiping. You can see the diagonal marks across the board.

This is a very substantial blackboard. Love the rustic look.

tried using chalk markers when wiping clean noticed it left a light shadow of the previous drawing..after second attemp its pretty much garbage.
