So they give you like 3x the screws and bolts that you need. At first I was a little worried when I assembled it and had so many parts left over. But it's been great. Yes you have to bend it a little bet to get everything to line up, but it's not at all egregious and it looks amazing. I've had it out for a week now and it's been perfect. It isn't really supposed to move like a weathervane, and I live in a windy area so it does unscrew from the base a bit. I will probably add locktite as another review mentioned. It's a great design and looks wonderful. I can't help but smile when I walk past it and hear the prop spinning in the wind.

The plane does not move just the propeller. I was under the perception the plane rotated with the wind. Very flimsy.

Although this kit required some assembly no instructions were included. Incorrect hardware was provided in that it should have been round head or pan head machine screws but instead flat head screws were provided for use with countersunk projects. The mounting point for the weather vane cause it to be so far out of balance that he could never swing in the wind.

Looks great in our garden and takes almost no wind for the propeller to start going. Great addition for our collection.

The metal rod attached to this airplane is 16" long. I secure this rod in a small heavy flower vase using styrofoam - the airplane centerpiece gives my party tables the aviation motif I'm looking for! Perfect height.

First of all the finished product does not exactly look like the product photos. That being said it’s not bad either. Yes the hardware is small but there’s triple the amount you will need. The instructions are photos but only takes about 15 minutes to put together. Suggest using Loctite on the hardware do the nuts don’t back off due to temperature changes or vibration. Will have to use some ingenuity to mounting on anything other than sticking it in the ground but not a big deal. Overall it’s a cute little piece and my wife likes it do enough said.After two weeks the bearing for the prop failed and now the prop no longer spins. Suppose I can find a bearing for it but why should I have to. Disappointed.

I have always loved "whirly-gigs", and am in aviation. So, when i saw this sweet little whirly-gig, I had to have it!

2 weeks in Sask Canada wind the the mount on the bottom of the plane broke. It is just built to light where they make the bends 1/2 the metal is cut out so the can make a neater bend. that also takes 1/2 the strength of the cheap tin away.
