The Best of the Best
Kimberly Gauthier Almost two years ago I decided to look into raw feeding my boy who had been kibble fed for over 5 years. The internet can be exhausting, especially when you want to make the best choices. Kimberly's "Keep the Tail Wagging" blog got my attention because she was someone who spoke and wrote from the heart about her journey with her fur babies and issues they had. She never claimed to be something she wasn't and that's the type of person I can relate to and will follow on Social Media! However, her commitment to researching, finding facts, not just feel good stories (although they are a bonus when they come to fruition from digging deep), and telling it like it is, proved to me she was on to something. I continued to read her blog, joined her Facebook page and started my boy on raw, a little over a year ago. The changes in his coat, teeth, breathe, poops (we talk alot about our dogs' poops in this raw feeding universe!), gut health; you know, the things we expect to see, seemed to improve over night. I gobbled up everything she blogged about, looking for a new post everyday. I got her book just last week and didn't put it down until I finished! And I thought I couldn't learn anything else from her! She writes in a clear and concise way so that even brand-newbies can understand. I strongly recommend anyone looking to jump into this fabulous-for-your-dog raw feeding world...get her book, join her FB page and read her blog! We will always be learning but it's a wonderful journey! GREAT READ!

Thank you Kimberly!
I am fairly new to feeding raw, and like others I have been totally overwhelmed at times. There is far too much conflicting information on line and if you ask a vet you are made to feel like you are killing your dog!Luckily I found Kimberly on social media and have been one of her many silent followers, she has been a wealth of true knowledge, knowledge by experience.I was so excited to see she had written a book, and rushed to purchase. This book is excellent, easy to follow, tons of information without being overwhelming. Finally I feel validated in my decision to go raw (other than the obvious better health of my pup)..A book worth buying, a true bible for raw feeders...

Great book, very informative
I have been raw feeding my dogs, a beagle and great Dane, for a little over a year now. Sometimes it felt quite overwhelming with all of the information out there. I would often wonder if I was making the right choices for them because I always felt like I was doing something wrong. I stumbled across Kimberly's blog and loved the way she may raw feeding seem so easy. I decided to purchase her book and am so glad that I did. Kimberly has a way of breaking everything down and making raw feeding not seem so daunting. I love how she tells you to follow your gut and do what works for you and especially your dogs. I am now making my own food for my babies and they love it almost as much as I love making it for them. My dogs are both very healthy and thriving. Kimberly's book gave me the confidence I needed to keep trucking along with raw feeding and to stop doubting myself about the choice I made for my pooches. I would highly recommend this book to anyone thinking about switching to raw, or if you're like me, have switched but need someone to help you along your journey. This book is an easy read and packed full of very useful information. I am so glad I found it when I did!

Raw feeding changes lives!
My dog Casper, a bichon, had terrible allergies. He would lick the same spot until he literally bleed. It was a nightmare. I was younger and more naive so when the vet insisted a second time we needed to go on a prescription diet after 2 steroid shots I did not want to give him. I was at such a loss I agreed. He was on Hill's hydrolyzed protein for about 8 months in which we saw a massive decline. My 4 year old happy bichon began hiding under the bed for hours. He had no energy for playing anymore. On top of that he hated the food. I had to sit next to him and hand feed him just to get him to eat half a serving. Some days he refused to eat at all. There were a lot of tears. The vet I was seeing at the time noticed how upset I was and said that his depression was simply mimicking mine and he needed to go on an antidepressant. That was the breaking point for me. My dog was only 4 and he is one of the happiest dogs I have ever met. I finally opened my eyes, dropped the vet, stopped trusting everything, and began doing my own research. I did months of online research and watching documentaries, and researching what the champion dogs ate( ie military dogs, dog sport champions, etc)My next step in anything I take seriously is to read a book. This book was exactly what I needed. It was full of information presented in an understandable way. With this book and my wonderful local butcher I started a home made raw food. His spirit had been buried under the effects of a terrible food and after the very first meal he did zoombies(running around like a mad man) for the first time in months. Casper was my boy again. We started training again. We had stopped during the prescription dark days because he had no energy. He passed his canine good citizen test and afterwards we started doing agility. He will be 7 years old next month and we are in advanced agility.I am so passionate about raw feeding bc I truly believe he would have eventually died on the prescription diet. I decided then and there that I wanted to help other dogs and bring awareness to the benefits of feeding raw. I now work for a holistic dog and cat store and promote raw feeding: pre-made or homemade.I used to cry bc my dog wouldn't eat but now I have 2 cats and my dog who look forward to every meal.Reading this book set of a chain of events that has drastically improved that life of all my animals, and I am now an assistant manager and after years of being lost and working tons of different jobs I know now that my career is going to be in the raw food industry, whether that retail or something else.Raw food changes pet's lives and this book is the first step. The author, Kimberly, also has a fantastic blog. It is called Keepthetailwagging.

Friendly and informative
Very friendly and informative with a great simplifying view of this sometimes complex subject. Not so good for Europeans from a product point of view because you can’t get the products or their equivalent.
