I replaced the whole assembly with this unit. The best part is that I got two complete assembliesFor that pricing you just can not go wrong. What I badly needed was the very end bump feed line button.But on installed the whole unit with no problems.The unit... I put it on a ryobi 4 cycle S430 gas powered straight shaft (doesn't require mixing oil to the gasoline.) I use a large roll of feed line and cut it into pieces as the same length as the pre cut line that you can buy.( Ryobi .095" part #AC04149 pre- cut trimmer line. However I found that by using this pre cut rigid line it needs to be cut to 1/2 the length. Other wise the line will over lap itself.. in the spool....causing you to stop and drop out the spool ..which adds to a lot more work and aggravation.

Fit perfect works great

When you first get them they work just fine , but i find that the plastic wears out much quicker than the orginal . The hand crank i have for winding really does not work on these heads but with some effort you can wind it on with your hand .,

Old replacement trimmer head loosened around the shaft, causing serious vibration. Hopeful this OEM replacement will last better.

I bought these with the understanding that since ny model number was listed in the compatible with. I received them and they aren’t even remotely close to mine. Very disappoinred.

Thread on the nut that holds it to the shaft was incorrect for my Homelite. Had to use the upper part from my old one, old nut would not work with the new upper. The old upper and new lower fit together so not a complete loss.
