must have for fans of the anime or manga
as a lover of the show this game is a must. playing through the story as some of my favourite scouts or at times eren in titan form is incredible.the actual game mechanics are simple to learn and challenging to master, with later titans having more defences you need to puzzle out better strategies to defeat them.basic skill tree in the form of weapon and gear upgrades is unlocked by killing titans and collecting materials from the limbs you chop off. some upgrades come from survey and exploration missions that can be played parallel to main missions.overall great game. can be frustrating when playing with weaker characters like armin as missions seem to take twice as long with him. if you love the manga or the anime you’ll love this game. swinging through trost slashing napes left right and........aaaahhhh its got me, its gonna eat me somebody help. i don’t wanna die like this aaahhhh!!!!

Surprisingly good anime adaptation game
Bought for my husband as a surprise Christmas present. At first he was a bit dubious, as movie/anime adaptation games can often be disappointing. However, he ended up thinking this was great. Fun game play and great graphics. Not a massively long game, but he actually enjoyed it more than a new release game he asked for. Being a fan of the show, I might have to play it next!

Great fun big fan but ended up lost in london.
Great fun, big fan of A.O.T anime show. Also its great training if you're short, you learn how to cut down big tall people so they won't get back up to hurt you, now when I go out late at night I am now always prepared to slingshot myself attached to tall people and smack them about, I would use a weapon but you got to keep it legal in London due to the amount of CCTV thats around so you won't get away that well unless you're short like me and squeeze in small gaps to hide, I had a group of guys screaming at me for my money I just screamed in Japanese or what sounded like it launching grappling hooks into their side and sling shooting myself to them, they all ran in terror! But not remembering how to dedatch I ended up in east london lost so now I'm training myself in survival on minecraft so i can get back home.

Even though I like the manga and anime of the series
Even though I like the manga and anime of the series, I can't really rate the game higher with clear conscience. It got few modes to play, like following the scenario of story, or variants under name of "Exploration" ects, where you can pick missions that gradually get harder. There is even, surprisingly, crafting system. But it's very simplistic. As in, you get to unlock things, and upgrade their overall statistics.Game-play itself is rather repetitive, to not say bland, you get an objective. which mostly revolves around go from point A to point B, and kill anything on the way.You get distractions in form of bonus tasks. Those usually mark a location way off on the map, from main goal, along with time limit. So you won't really have a lot of time to take it easy. All in all, it's not bad for what it's meant to represent. But it's not amazing either.

Fun level: Titan
As a huge fan of the anime (season 2 this decade please?) I had to get the game. Having played a handful of anime adaptions in the past I was skeptical but when I finally started playing I was pleasantly surprised.During missions there will be multiple signals for help or side-missions but, just like the anime you need to prioritise your objectives whilst monitoring your gas levels and blade sharpness. Can you really afford to save those villagers when you're got less than 50% of your last gas canister left?Koei have added depth to the game by enabling players to choose different types of mobility gear, weaponry and gas canisters. Some mobility gear pulls you in faster so your attack does more damage, but is weaker and can't keep you suspended in the air long which increases the risk you rush in and get caught by a Titan. The graphics and voice acting are great, although those who havent seen the anime may be a little confused by the cut scenes. (Why are you buying this if you havent seen the anime? Its amazing - go watch it now!)Staying true to the anime there are also different types of Titans, small, medium and large as well as the abnormals. These different types have different characteristics and need to be taken care of differently. My only gripe with the game is that sometimes, if you're playing a strong character, its a bit too easy to go for the nape every time instead of subduing it by removing its limbs first, but its a hell of a lot of fun nonetheless.

Amazing Game
I've got to say this has to be one of the most addictive games I have played in years. If you like the anime/movies/manga you are going to love this game, also if you like the Dynasty Warrior/Samurai Warrior games you will also get a similar feel in this game and enjoy it too. This game is definitely worth a play through.

fast-paced combat is half as good as this game's offering
I'm 5-starring this thing after playing just the training exercise and two missions. I have Spiderman on pre-order and I hope to god the web-slinging, gravity-defying, intuitive, fluid, fast-paced combat is half as good as this game's offering. Even if you're not bothered by the anime or story the combat in this is fantastic. I have it in its default mode (the only other option being "easy") so I hope the difficulty picks up a little, but even if it stays as straightforward as it is I'm not going to get bored! The graphics, voice acting, etc are all great, too. Just a note, there doesn't appear to be the option for English so you have to play with the subs, but the translation (of dialogue and all the menus, tutorial, etc) is excellent.
