It’s a dream!
So easy to use and cuts really well. Hardly needs any pressure. Don’t know how I put up with my old one for so long. Highly recommended

Needs a lot of pressure when cutting
Reasonable price but you need put a lot of pressure, when cutting material, as it won’t cut through the material

Great for speed
This has made my sewing much more easier. I am getting another one to cut out paper patterns. Comes with one extra blade, more of which you can get on Amazon. Very sharp and once you get used to it, its a dream to use. Utube has many tutorials on how to use these as when I first started using a rotary cutter, I found how I was applying the pressure incorrectly. Highly recommend. Note: if you haven't got one all ready its important you get a self healing cutting mat to use with the cutter. Under no circumstance us the cutter on any other surface as you will damage that surface and also the cutter will dull very quickly.

Left-handers beware
As a left-handed person I find myself constantly amazed at how many products are handed that you wouldn't expect. This tool is a case in point. It just cuts fabric, how could it be handed? Well, I'll tell you. It's got a 'safety' cover on one side and that side blocks the blade from view if you're holding it with your left hand. You have to peer awkwardly over your arm to see the blade clearly, if you just hold it and cut normally you're having to guess where the blade is. This isn't unique to this item but it's still a problem.

Takes some getting used to- especially for a Lefty!!
When I made the decsion to buy a rotary blade- I did my research on amazon- and this one kept coming up- it had great reviews- a little more expensive than their competitors- but with the added benefit of the titanium blade as opposed to steel I decided to invest in this cutter- especially as it came with an extra blade. Now I've had it 2ish weeks and now I am getting the hang of using it- I now feel ready to write a review. It has taken some getting use to- getting the pressure of the cut correct- the way it should be help- especially as I am left handed, and now I've got the hang of it I'm happy- it's saving me a lot of time when cutting fabric.I'm cutting mainly cotton- and 80% of the time it cuts straight through- occasionally I have to go back over the same spot- but it may be where I'm relieving pressure so it's not cutting first time.I appreciate the safety feature too- being able to pop the blade back inside itself and lock it means no caught fingers when getting it back out again.

Easy to use
I bought this having seen that these cutters are much easier to use than scissors. I am a real novice when it comes to sewing but am making a small quilt for a cot. The cutter is easy to use especially if you use it along the edge of a long ruler. You do need to be careful to not go too fast and come off the straight edge. It worked fine but after cutting I noticed every rotation of the blade there is one very small section where the blade has not gone through the material and I needed to go back and snip a few threads. I am not sure why this happened but maybe the blade is not quite smooth. I will try the spare blade and see if this still happens. It is definitely a good product and I would recommend as being easy to use, just need to sort out this small problem.

Got it Working Eventually, But....
I've given this three stars because while it does now cut very well, but I had to modify it slightly to make it do so. Like at least one other reviewer, I initially found the cutting blade tended to stick. Examination revealed that the blade was catching part of the plastic handle moulding when in its extended position. Rather than return this relatively inexpensive item, I removed a bit of plastic with a model making drill, after which the blade rotated normally and the cutter cut very effectively. After a few days, I had another problem that another reviewer had - the lock button became very loose, tending to drop into the locked position when you were trying to cut something. As I don't need this facility (no kids around) I just put a spot of glue on it to keep the blade unlocked.I have an almost identical cutter by a well known manufacturer that does not suffer from these problems, and is equally sharp. As there's almost no difference in price, its difficult to recommend this one, although once 'sorted', it cuts as well as my other one.If you're wondering why I need two, I use one with new blades for cutting things that need a really sharp blade, and the second with old blades for cutting less critical items. Saves a lot of blade swapping if you have two.
