A simple and quick solution to switching USB devices between machines
For a while now I've been working from home on both my work Windows laptop and my iMac. I have to use both, but it's frustrating to move from the iMac, with a keyboard and a good mouse, to a laptop keyboard and a (frustrating) mousepad. It's obviously not the same, or as good, and that reduces my productivity and increases my frustrations!Enter the UGREEN USB Switch Selector. It's really simple, doesn't take up too much space and works perfectly. It allows me at the touch of a single button, with no delay, to switch my mouse and keyboard from the iMac to my Windows laptop.Transformed how I work at home, but pity it introduces more cables to manage and tidy away.*** Pros ***- Easy to set-up- Comes with good quality USB cables- Has an option for a 5v micro USB charger if you need to power devices through the switch- Small format- Absolutely no delay when switching- Can be used to switch 4 USB devices- Good packaging, which can be recycled- Great value*** Cons ***- USB cables are placed at the front and back of the device, which means cables aren't as neat as they could be- You need to be able to reach the device, so you can't tuck the device away*** Note ***- Can only be used to switch between two devices

Magic little black box
Really good. Does what it says in the tin. The only problem I see with it is that the LED indicators for 1/2 output are do not match the outputs: LED 1 indicates right output and LED 2 indicates left output. Other than that, perfect. if your thing is a litttle black box that does what is expected from it, this is your thing.

Does the job well
A little more expensive than similar switches available elsewhere but it works nicely, is small and (as far as switches go) it looks attractive enough on the desk. The switch itself has a satisfying click to it and feels solid enough to last.Like many I'm sure, this is a purchase to let me switch easier between my main home PC and the work from home laptop I've been using during lockdowns. For that job it's really good, the 4 usb ports providing enough space for the critical shared devices, including the mouse, keyboard and headset. I plugged a small powered USB hub into the 4th slot to give me easy access for any random peripherals, and devices connected to this work just fine. The device is very light (as you'd expect really) so it gets easily lifted off the surface of the desk by any stiff usb cables connected to it. Sticking the device down with a small piece of blu-tack is fine though.

Good product
Excellent product. Does what it says. Cables that are supplied are a good length and quality

Works basically as USB hub that can be shared/switched.
I've had cheap USB hubs before that have had issues with for example not working with some things OR being odd after coming out of sleep, this one is fine. I've had cameras, phones, wireless mouse. and even a bluetooth dongle in it, all worked fine.I've used it switching back and forth mostly for a wireless mouse and it switches fine for me (two windows computers).Things like BT dongles have especially had issues with hubs for me in the past but no issues with this (not sure about BT switching but I only use that on one computer). It can take extra power unlike some such devices, but I haven't needed that as nothing I've plugged in is "charging" or anything and needing the extra juice.

Works very well and looks neat too.
I wanted a USB device that would (hopefully) allow me to share a wireless keyboard and mouse with two computers. I took a gamble with the UGreen USB Switch as I wasn't totally convinced how it would perform that task. I am happy to say that it works seamlessly, in fact far better than I had hoped for. I can now quickly and easily switch between two computers and control them with one keyboard and mouse. Absolutely brilliant. I even like the slim neat design, the little blue LED indicator which tells you which 'side/device/computer' you are using. The small press-button gives a comforting 'click' when pushed. I am in fact so impressed I have ordered a second UGreen USB Switch as a spare, or for another pair of USB devices. A highly recommended and well-made simple gadget that has solved a major problem for me.

Lasted 5 days.
I purchased this item on the 21st June 2025. I had two computers and one monitor, which is why I made the purchase.Once connected, everything worked perfectly, and it was also possible to connect my printer and a USB stick. The printer worked, but the USB stick did not on either computer. I didn't mind as it had been purchased simply to avoid using separate keyboards and mice. However, 5 days later, on the 26th June 2025, the keyboard and mouse wouldn't work on either computer. Back to separate keyboards and mice for each computer. A complete waste of effort and money. It's going in the bin.
