Roca-kit Elements Soft Closing Hinge (Cover) Brass Kit

One of the original plastic parts broke after 13 years so I ordered these as a replacement. As others have observed these are metal and stronger. They fit quite well.You can remove the seat unit from the toilet using a small allen key in the slot at the back of middle section of each hinge. It may be useful to take lots of photos as you dismantle the unit. The instructions provided were not much help; reassembly was easy once I realised that the configuration is not symmetrical - you fit the pieces differently at each end.

The soft close hinge bracket broke on the toilet seat.I initially looked at replacing the whole seat and lid at a cost of over £100 including delivery. However saw the replacement parts available for buying at around £38. My toilet seat and lid were in very good condition though the hinge brackets were in poor condition. They are made of a plastic with chrome effect which was peeling. Replace these parts with the new brackets within 15 mins and toilet seat looks like new. Saved about £60 as well. delighted with the parts and savings.

Does the job, although as others have said, seems very expensive for what it is.Much better quality than the original fitments, but I did have an issue where the small bits that you fit in after to hide the screws didn't sit in properly and fell out when closing the toilet seat. I managed to fix this with a bit of blutack on one of them, but the other one I was unable to fix in the same way so have just given up and left the screw showing.

A high quality item to replace the original plastic hinges. We inherited this loo when we bought our house. The original plastic hinges gave way eventually. These metal items appear to of a much higher quality. Fairly easy, if a little fiddly, to fit. While relatively expensive a lot better than having to buy a whole new seat.

These are what the loo should have come with is the first place and I think Roca know it, I have had numerous plastic ones that fail every 3 years or so. These feel solid so hopefully will outlast the loo.Came direct from Barcelona I think, but was here in under a week.

Saw the reviews and decided to have a go instead of buying a new seat.Not too fiddly. Just need to match the marked pieces (they are stamped on the inside). The only difficulty was working out the internal hinge bit as I mixed them up, which was my fault. Once done it was a doddle and all you need is a small hexagonal key and a crosshead screwdriver.They seem and feel far sturdier than the originals and it all works perfectly.Not that cheap but I think for what it is it's value for money.

Works well and looks far more durable than the originally fitted plastic hinges, these being plated brass. Instructions are pictures only, no writing, and consequently not completely clear, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. Go to the apprpriately named “Fixthebog” website and download written instructions. Fitting then a doddle.

I have just bought my second Roca Toilet and Seat. The hinges on the first were Chrome plated plastic and needless to say they broke. I found genuine Roca replacements which were Chrome plated brass (good quality) and all was well.I bought another Roca toilet and seat thinking that Roca had improved their hinges but sadly they were plastic again. So I found these replacements Brass made by Roca and bought them before they change their design and became unobtainable.After shopping around I found that this supplier was the best price and I can recommend their service and delivery.
