Our daughter and son-in-law live in San Antonio, TX, where the temps in the summer are usually over 90 - 110 degrees. They have a covered porch on the back of their house, but during some parts of the year, the afternoon sun shines directly on their outdoor furniture making it too hot to be outside. I bought this shade because it was a light color with some holes that let both some light and some breeze flow through. My husband installed it for them with little trouble, and it is working better than we had hoped! It even has one feature we didn't expect - stretchable cords at the bottom corners that tie so it doesn't rock in the breeze. It was the perfect solution, and the price was right.

Easy to install, but you have to put the entire thing together...string and all! The material is folded and you will have the fold lines in it for a little bit. Once together, it goes up easily and works (rolls up) nicely. If you hang these higher than your reach to the top of blind, the string stop will be useless in keeping it all the way up; so plan to tie them off to prevent them from falling back down. The material is similar to the plastic tarp, not Sunbrella-style fabric. The pullies are metal, as is the string slide stop. But the material and tieback anchor cleats are plastic. You can see through it and it repels water very nicely. The edges are a bit rough cut, not super smooth. All it all, it will do the trick at a decent price. I would have preferred something with a more expensive feel. To me these felt cheap putting them together, but in the end, they look okay and do the job!

Easy to assemble/install. Not IKEA furniture easy, but if you've done any installs with fairly limited instructions this will be no problem (all pieces identified, assembly mostly described or intuitive, routing of cord is easy to follow). One person mentioned it is hard to install by yourself. Not really, you can install the hang screws and then mount the pulley clips while the rods are still on the ground. After that, easily hang by yourself (this is on a 96" install). Only decisions to make are where to mount the cleat and how short you want the cord. You don't have make those decisions the first day. Take time to think about them.

Looks great on my patio to keep the sun out we have 2 of them.

Bought this to keep the evening sun out on the West side of the pool where we have chairs. Worked great. Easy to install.

The product arrived with defects. We had to sew the unravelled thread on one lower corner of mesh. The plastic end of one of the upper rods was broken, and it remains so.

I didn't particularly enjoy trying to hang and install it by myself but I suspect it would have gone more smoothly with someone to assist. The finished product is quite satisfactory though, and worth the effort.

The metal rods broke in half . The stitching was not sewn in certain places. Think twice

These blinds are worth every dollar. They are high quality and the brown color is really nice. We can see out however no one can see in. When the box arrived first I thought they sent the wrong size as I ordered 8ft wide. Then I read the whole description and it advised that they are folded. They were and no fold seam even showed. Very pleased. Thank you

Estuve buscando varias opciones para mi terraza, ya que en cierto momento del día el sol pega en un costado, hay muchas opciones que tenían un precio muy elevado para lo que yo tenía considerado, sin embargo encontré está opción que es práctica para mi, la tela es de calidad y cumple muy bien con su propósito, fue fácil de colocar, cuenta con unos sujetadores que permiten fijarla en la pared una vez desplegada lo cual es útil para que no se esté moviendo con el aire.Quizá lo único que podría incomodar a alguna persona es que tienes que enrollar y desenrollar el hilo sujetador, de manera manual, pero para mi no es algo relevante.Una buena compra

Très, très contente de cet achat. Cache adéquatement le soleil sans noircir le gazebo. L’installation un petit peu longue, mais le résultat final pour le prix est adéquat.
