Product Description ------------------- Create your own fantastic nail art ---------------------------------- It’s easy to get started with nail art with the Nail Artist Starter kit. This kit has all the tools you need to begin creating unique and on trend nail art at home. The kit includes full size nail polish colours, nail art effects, glitter, as well as a step by step DVD with instructions, hints and tips on how to achieve your look. Creating two-tone Strokes ------------------------- Creating two-tone strokes 1. Arrange two drops of your chosen polish next to each other on the palette. 2. Dip each side of the brush into the two colours. 3. Then apply to the nail and brush in a circular motion, you will see that the colours will blend together to create the two-tone effect. Important: Work through the steps quickly as the polish will dry rapidly once it is on the palette. Create multi-colour gradients using the fan brush ------------------------------------------------- Using the fan brush 1. Creating gradients can be quite a messy process, so to prevent the polish from sticking to the skin, apply some ing tape around the nail. 2. Choose a minimum of three colours and lay them out on your palette so that they run into each other. 3. Lay the brush into the polish so that the bristles are fully loaded. 4. Now transfer onto the nail blending the colours as you move across the nail. Nail art techniques ------------------- The possibilities are endless, here are a few examples. Experiment with: * Strokes * Waves * Swirls * Curves * Zebra * Flowers * Paw prints * Teardrops * 2-tone strokes * Gradients * Glitter and gems Using glitter to complete the look ---------------------------------- Glitter is applied to wet polish. It can be either applied onto the whole area of the nail, or selected areas, you may wish to use a 2-in-1 varnish for this. 1. Choose a background colour for the glitter (this can be the same as your base colour) and paint the area you wish the glitter to cover. All other areas must be completely dry. 2. While the polish is still wet, dampen the bristles of the brush with water, dip into your chosen glitter and gently touch the nail to distribute the glitter. Have a piece of paper under the nail to catch any excess glitter. This can then be returned to the jar. Allow the polish to dry and lightly dust the nail with the brush to remove any excess glitter. 3. We recommend you apply a clear topcoat varnish to protect the glitter design. Allow to dry. Apply a second coat. Finish off by brushing across the free edge of the nail. Note: If you plan to apply another nail art technique to your nails after applying glitter, this step is not necessary. Complete your look using gems ----------------------------- 1. Have tweezers close to hand to help pick up and apply the gems. Gems should be applied to wet polish. 2. While the polish is still wet, use a pair of tweezers to pick up the gem. Place on the nail ensuring ALL the edges are pushed down firmly. Tip: You have the chance to move the gem into the best position while the varnish is still wet. 3. We recommend you protect your design with a clear topcoat varnish. Tip: If the top coat is applied too soon this can cause the gem to lift - allow 5 minutes for the gem(s) to set before applying.
