great book we used while viewing "The Last Kingdom"

Great book. A little heavy.

In college I had a similar book that helped me understand Shakespeare’s history plays. Now doing genealogical research I needed a similar work. This book provides a good framework for English and Scottish royalty, and can help the reader delve deeper with other references. Not quite as comprehensive as the book I had in college, but a good reference overall.

This is a concise history and is up to date (King Charles) useful as a quick reminder of our Royal heritage.
