The heating elements are limited to the heel area and this runs very small
Based on the description, I had hoped for an effective heat therapy for plantar fasciitis and general ankle soreness. But I am disappointed and will have to look for something else. The heating coverage is isolated to a small area and is weak. The product comes in a plain brown box, with a bar code label and a tape seal to confirm that the product is new and factory fresh. Inside the box is the ankle wrap contained in a soft plastic bag that has a “ziploc” type seal. Loose in the box under the ankle wrap is a thin instruction manual a little smaller than a CD case, a plug in USB power supply and a charging cable. A 7.4V 2200mAh lithium polymer battery that is tightly wrapped in shrink film is also included. The manual is well illustrated and reasonably well-written. Although it is obviously a translation done by someone whose native language is not English, I had no difficulty understanding how to wear and use the wrap. The USB power supply is typical black plastic adapter, about double the size of an ice cube. It has a single USB A port to deliver 5VDC, rated for 2000mA. The charging cable uses USB A on one end, and a barrel connector on the other end. A control pod in the middle of the cable has a red light/green light indicator.I put the wrap on, over my socks according to the instructions. I wear men’s US size 9 wide, but my feet are not “thick”. The strap that goes across the top of the foot barely reached far enough to catch any of the velcro on the other side. The strap around my calf fit fine, and so did the crossover straps. The wrap goes about 12 inches up my calf, and the bottom extends almost, but not quite to the ball of my foot. It is far too small around my normal sized foot, but in other dimensions, it seems OK.Five minutes after turning the wrap on, it automatically switches from high to medium heat. I turned it back to high because it felt only a little warm. The biggest problem with this ankle wrap is that the heat is weak and centered around the heel. Very little heat was provided around the ankle, and almost none to the arch. No heating elements are present on the top of the foot, and there is little if any warming to the metatarsals and cuneform bones. The heating elements are not strong enough and do not extend far enough to relieve either ankle or plantar fasciitis pain. This may be useful for heel pain, but that is not why I selected this item. If it were not described as useful for ankle and plantar fasciitis pain, I would not have chosen this product. I do not expect to use this again.

Comfortable and easy to use
I ordered this for my husband who has pain in his ankle and foot due to a past injury. It is made of quality material. I like that it has enough straps to get it to fit snuggly and also that it has a rechargeable battery so no cords running from the heating pad to an outlet. The battery charges quickly. It comes with legible instructions that explain how to use the heating pad and what each setting does. My husband says it provides enough heat to provide him some relief from his pain. I believe this is a quality product for the price.

Battery power works well
I like this heating pad for my ankle. I like that it's battery powered and that it works well. It's easy to wrap around my ankle and it stays on relatively well as long as I don't walk around with it very much. This has 3 different heating levels which are nice. It starts on high when you first turn it on, but after 5 minutes, it automatically switches to a lower setting and you have to manually turn it back up if you want it hotter. I find that a bit frustrating, but overall, this does feel good and provides relief to my strained ankle.

Great after a long work day | Ankle Heating Pad for Pain Relief - Heating Pad for Foot and Ankle
After working in my salon all day the first thing I want to do is pamper and appreciate my feet for their sacrifices since I never really get to sit down. While the original purpose of this brace might be meant to deal with injuries, I've also found it to be great after a long day to help compress some of the swelling in my feet, and the warmth is relaxing and soothing as well. The brace is super easy to use and is very adjustable to fit a variety of sizes. Battery lasts well, doesn't die quickly.

Finnicky straps but comfortable
Ankles are tough birds to wrap, and while most people complain that there are too many straps, I actually appreciate the number of straps. Takes a quick minute to bandage up the ankle but if you have any medical training or have wrapped joints before, you'll find that there's just enough straps to really snug the strap over your ankle and sole of the foot so that you can even walk around and it won't budge. I took away one star because they should have added traction to the part of the foot that would connect with the ground (they have it on the inside of the sole so why not the outside..?) The heat affects the mid-sole and around the ankle joint, but not the actual ankle itself by default. You need to fine tune the wrap to get the heat where you want it. Again, finnicky but still easy to deal with.Battery is removeable, and recharges with a proprietary charger. I do like that the control button shows your battery life that remains. Very intuitive. You need to put some effort in, yes. But after 10+ hours during festivals where I'm on my feet, this thing is a treat to strap on and just chill in the evenings while resting up.

Nice Product
Easy enough to use. Just strap it on and enjoy. I didn't try to put any type of footwear on over it. Just used it while in my chair. It can get warm, but you can adjust the settings. I recommend for anyone who suffers from ankle pain.

Gets nice and hot
Straps are confusing. There are directions in the manual on how to wear it (even has pictures to follow along!) but of course I didn't read it and did it my own way. I'm a small girl with small feet and the ankle pad fitted me fine but I'm not sure it will fit my husband, who is the one with the bum ankle. You need to press the power button for a couple of seconds to to turn it on/off. I tested it on the highest setting and it did get hot on my ankle but my poor toes were getting cold.
