It is exactly what you see in the photo; fairy lights as simple as possible, with as few parts as possible, all in a good way, this far at least. Having bought two a couple of days ago and used them once, I cannot vouch for the longevity. Though there is little or nothing except the bulbs that can break, as long as its handled right.The fact that it's a stiff wire with little light "blobs" along the wire (rather than "candle bulbs" sticking out from it) makes it easy to shape it exactly as you want it and mount it where you want it. And the empty part of the wire is sufficiently long to get the battery box out of sight (in most cases I can think of).At least with new batteries the bulbs are almost too bright to look straight at, and thus strong enough to create all sorts of "hidden" and "shining through" effects. Three batteries for only 3 meters of lights should make it reliable in keeping the desired effect going as well. This far I've only used it for a long Halloween night, with no dimming to be seen.

Nice addition to my office

Bought these expecting to receive the lights advertised in the listing picture but was very disappointed. They are tiny, dull and flimsy! Originally planned on using them in my window but they barely filled a small decorated jar and fell to bits as I was placing them in! The wire is so fragile that once you bend them a little, they snap! Such a waste of money! They have similar lights of better quality in the pound shop.
