Excellent Winter Work Boot
I deliver Oil and Propane in Northern New England and I am trudging through the snow and rain and ice on a daily basis and these boots keep my feet fairly warm (definitely warm enough, I do wear Darn Tough wool socks) and dry. I have seen reviews of people complaining about the locking eyelets for the laces and also the back of the boots ripping apart. That has not been my experience. I think those people are not unlacing the boots enough when they remove them and they might explain the back ripping? Like I said I deliver fuel so I’m not digging ditches so I guess if you are digging ditches maybe they wouldn’t perform as well as they have for me but I find that they are rugged and can handle anything I’ve experienced and all while being comfortable for 12 hour days 6 days a week. The break in period was minimal and I didn’t need to treat them with anything for water proofing. The toe box is roomy but not to much and it’s a composite toe so you don’t need to worry about your toes getting crushed. If I had to pick something that I didn’t like it would be that my ice cleats barely fit but they do fit. I wouldn’t wear these in warmer months they are made for cold and snowy/ice conditions. I would also say you may want to go down a half size for a perfect fit. Hope this helps.

Quality Boot
These are high quality boots. No break in time needed. Comfortable right out of the box. Nothing cheap about these boots. I would rate the slip resistance a 7or 8 on soapy or greasy floors. Extra room in the toe box to accommodate two pairs of sox comfortably. Which are probably needed in temperature below freezing. Somewhat snug to put on and off but not a big issue.

Solid, warm, comfortable boot.
Using these boots for work, they took some time to loosen up and get comfortable. Initially, the heel was tight and hard to get my foot in. After a little over a week of wear, they broke in and became easier to get into. Now they are comfortable, a little wide in the toe box, but there is room for nice wool socks when winter really kicks in.The warmth is great. Nice and cozy in cool weather, and good in cold conditions. I haven't been able to use them in proper snow yet, but in <3" they kept me dry and warm. I got some boot gaiters to wear with them as well, as 10" will only help so much.Solid construction with good stitching. I'm a little nervous of the laces they came with, as they are very thin and light. But replacements wouldn't be too hard if needed. They've held up so far, and the attachment points seem solid.O/A a very solid boot. Very happy with them.

Warm Winter Boots
I love how Carhartt designed these boots to keep your feet safe, WARM, and dry from the elements. I've had these for 30 days. I work on huge project sites that see 4 seasons. Here are things I look for in a work boot:COMFORT- my feet are definitely warm and may sweat if socks are too thick (adjust for ambient temps). The inserts became unbearably uncomfortable after a week. The originals are layered so be aware of that before throwing in another layer on top of them. The boots are beefy so fatigue is an issue if you don't lace up correctly or have uncomfortable pads. The outer style is very tough, thick, and durable, so if flexion is what you're looking for keep looking, lol. I'm flat footed so, there's that. And the type box has plenty of space (depending on your insole preferences).SAFETY- The safety toe and high heel protection are great. Again the thickness of the outer sole is a little stiff and won't allow sharp objects to puncture. I kicked nails flat that protruded through lumber. These come up to my calves so ankle support gets a 10 on my score card!WATERPROOF- It's only been 30 days, but so far through rain and snow I have no complaints. There is a material on the outer that spans from the top of the toe cap to the EVA-type heel protection (don't remember what it is exactly) which keeps the moisture out. It also makes them easy to clean off the mud which leads to durability.DURABILITY- this is a tough boot that will last years if you don't wear the sole out first, or use them for kicking nails down on the regular (iykyk). Because these are taller and have a rigid outer and upper I only feel fatigue now if I lace up incorrectly (edit: they're broken in now and no pinching occurs). Walking over multiple surfaces from concrete, mud, class 1-4 rocks, lumber and work-site materials these boots take it all on.WARMTH- With 1000g of insulation these boots keep warmth in!!! Depending on your body you may want to wear socks that balance between comfort and breathability. I could stand in these outside all day in 10 deg. weather and my feet wouldn't know its not summer. All things considered i would DEFINITELY buy these again with a superbly soft and cushioned insole. It's worth the $$$ to get the job done with no worries.

excellent waterproof winter work boots
These boots are super comfortable and great for outdoor work in the winter. They are waterproof and well insulated. My husband works outdoors all year long, in electrical construction. He needs a safe work boot that is waterproof and for the winter months, insulated. He says these are the most comfortable work boots he has ever had. Comfortable work boots are hard to find, so he asked me to write this review for him, to recommend these boots for other men who work outdoors. He also had me order a second pair right away, to put aside, for whenever this pair wears out. Highly recommend!!

Seems like great quality.
These boots seem great! Nice and wide inside. Very comfortable. Looks like they have triple stitched the heel. Toe is a little Frankensteiny because of composite toe, but don’t look bad. A little hard to get off, but after loosening the bottom laces they slid off. Very rugged durable feeling. I don’t see why these won’t last.

Best winter boot!
This is the first pair I have had of these and I had no clue what I was missing. They look big and bulky but are some of the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Well worth the money. Great traction in the snow and shoveling sidewalks in 4 inches of snow and 0 temperatures my feet didn’t freeze like other winter boots I have had.

Proper boots.
Well they are not cheap, but they are not crap either. These boots look like they will last five years of non-stop use, they might not but they at least might stand a chance. They are wide, I have small feet but didn't find my feet got lost in the interior. I wanted a boot for motorcycling that didn"t look like motorcycling boots, I wanted walmth and waterproofing and they don't let you down, they might even be too hot for summer use, but as any motorcyclist will tell you, you dont stay too hot on a motorcycle for long.Very satisfactory so far.

Worth the money spent
My husband works mostly outside on the roof with a foot of snow and these shoes keep his feet safe and warm and dry. He normally wears size 9 and he ordered 9.5. They fit snugly right.FYI- even if you are in winter -30 weather condition make sure to wear thick winter socks and not depend on just shoes.
