Amazing social BBQ, get one!
It's perfect for those that don't have enough space for a large BBQ or those who want to eat more together. I bought this for my mum for Christmas and we had a balcony BBQ in January 2020. Lots of space for at least 6 people to cook and looks so smart and stylish with good sturdy box for storage as well as easy to empty and clean. We used two charcoal bags that you light and that had it cooking for about 4 hours, it was brilliant!

Think before you buy?
Ok...quality is very good, looks kinda elegant I s'pose. Like all these things...yes it'll cater for six but if you, your family & friends are as typical as mine then that'd have to be six just back from Pizzahut or the like, else there will be a war over the pittance on offer.I bought this because I suffer back/standing problems plus there's usually toddlers roaming around. I didn't want one of those awful things on spindly legs that looks like, feels like & invariably does like to eventually collapse under the weight of 12 sausages...after it's sat ever more ugly, rotting away in the garden. This I can pop on any work surface, pull up a chair & cook away...away from over interested wee people...perfect.The notion that this has been designed for a social around a table, although others seem to approve, has to be a joke, designed to part fools with their money though."Ok....are we all clear where our sausage is yes? Bill? No, yours is third from the right...no, that's as you look Bill. Mary?...Yes that's your kebab there. It's in the centre & burning? Ok....Jack, how's yours doing up that end? Slow....ok, so you swap positions with Mary. Here's the tongs...oh, who's got the tongs...Peter...tut, come on now, you can turn the bloody kebab with your fingers. Well it won't burn if you use a glove will it...can someone give Peter a glove please...left or right sweetheart?Lord above, it's a couple of feet long...one person in the middle would manage finer without all the damn chaos around them from all sides! The `optional` heat shield deserves a mention...others have mentioned the naff instructions for fitting this. Said instructions are perfectly clear & simple....fitting the bloody thing isn't though, 'less you have three or more pairs of hands going at it.This BBQ is deemed by its maker as portable...true.Can be used on any surface...true....with the extra shield in place. So why not fit the thing in the first place.....'cos its user can't ever be too sure as to what surface they might encounter as they port it from place to place...."Oh no! Plastic table.....tell me we packed the optional heat shield...pleeease!? Ahh...thank God, I'll just spend half an hour cursing the thing on then"One needs to take this apart to put it together again with the heat shield...surely, if you, the maker can't be arsed to add it (definitely couldn't blame you for that) then just ship it dismantled entirely rather than force the customer to have to play Meccano with it. Ship it complete & we can then decide if we want to remove your optional heat shield....way easier than fitting it for sure.

Glad I got this while I could.
So glad I got this while I could. Simply brilliant for a garden party. Everyone can cook their own food while sitting around talking instead of always having a nominated person off away from the conversation. We managed to have 6 burgers, 6 skewers and a handful of sausages on the go at one time. While it doesn't have somewhere to put the cooked food before being eaten, we have found that by just cooking what will be eaten there and then, we are saving a fortune in food not being thrown away. Once up to temperature, it's not like it takes a while to cook on.Cleaning is pretty easy with some soapy water, and while the instructions were not the most simple to understand, the assembly of the heat tray was easy enough to work out.

Cool idea
A little fiddley to put together but once you have it sussed all okay. Like the idea of on table cooking. But does take up a lot of room still leaving less space for glasses, plates and other dishes. And it does give off a lot of heat which can bit a little uncomfortable at a regular sized table but the protection to the table is sufficient. I use on a glass table with no problem. I now set up a different table and use there.

Great table top BBQ
Great table top barbecue. Plenty of room to cook for six people easily. Heat reflectors work well. I use on a wooden table top and no heat gets transmitted downwards. There is one heat reflector that you have to attach which means you have to partly disassemble the unit to fit. Not a problem really, just a bit fiddly. Knocked one star off because you can't adjust the cooking height. Very well made and worth the money paid.

Fabulous product. Already used it and love it. Nobody has to stand to one side cooking. Really is a social experience. Quite a talking point when guests come round. Very well packaged and delivered quickly.

One Star
Looked like a really good idea BUT you can't eat round it, too much smoke!
