PENNFathom II Lever Drag 2 Speed Conventional Fishing Reels

This reel is very smooth and nice, took 300 yds of Power pro v2 65lb, I haven’t used it yet, I have a trip planned later this month hopefully hook up on some tuna and dorado out of San Diego

I own multiple Penn reels and bought this for a recent bluefin trip. This reel did better than some for twice the price. The power handle is comfortable and feels great in the hand. Two speeds are nice when you have to gear down for the big ones.

Good reel for the money. I can definitely feel the lack in quality compared to somthing more expensive but it’s what I expected.

I bought this reel for inshore blue fin tuna in NewJersey where we get a nice run of 25- 50 lb fish mid summer. I never got to use it for this but have used it for the yellow fun run off our coast this season which had been epic. These fish are typically 40-80 lbs.This reel has preformed great and the two speed gives the power to gain line to lift a fish while the high speed gains line fast when the fish is running towards you. The 25 size reel has the same max drag as the larger size with plenty of capacity for fish of this size. I spooled the reel 65lb with PowerPro Depth Hunter braid.

My deep water Accurate conventional reels, for Pulley Ridge fishing, for non electric reeling, are really heavy. My last trip I saw guys vertical jigging yo so greasmt deep water fish. I have mostly Penn reels so I purchased th a Penn vertices jigging reel. I look forward to catching some nice fish with it!!!!

Mi octavo carrete Penn y contando...no podria estar mas feliz, conseguirlo a un superprecio. Soy ávido pescador desde hace poco mas de 30 años, y por experiencia, los carretes Penn siempre han sido mi primera opcion, fuertes, robustos, y este no es la excepcion, tengo este mismo modelo de la priemra serie, en mano derecha y sigue trabajando como nuevo, sin ningun problema. Para mi, me funciona el tamaño muy bien para trolling y jigging. Lo trabajaremos en busca de jurel y BFT en Baja, México.

憧れのPENN！２スピード・レバードラグに惹かれ購入しました。現物を見ず買ったので、届いてハンドル回した時の重さに焦りました(笑)とにかく重い！！あ、でも確かPENNのベイトってグリスが硬くて購入したらグリグリ回しまくって慣らしてから使うって昔カジキやってた友人に聞いたような・・・って事でとにかくハンドル回しまくったら軽くなりました(笑)レバードラグ特有の重さや少々のガタ音は気にしません(笑)早速タラジギングに使いましたが超～楽でしたね。マダラ釣ってたらマグロが掛かってビビりましたが、ローギアに入れてグリグリ巻いたりハイギアに戻して戦ったりで凄く釣りしやすかったし楽しい！！１7㌔のクロマグロを20分くらいで上げましたよ！ドラグ15ｋ役に立ちました！ファゾム２スピードヤバいっす(笑)気に入ったので10も購入しました。タチウオや小物に使おうと思います。あ、マグロは泣く泣くリリースしましたよ(笑)
