Integrates well with my HomePod Minis - Great technical support
The CT3 sensors support the thread interface. I have several Apple HomePod Minis which can function as a thread border router. This made the Onvis CT3 sensors an obvious choice as it eliminated the need to add another hub technology to my network.I also have a few of the older CT2 sensors. These devices connect via BLE to my AppleTV as the hub. While the range of these devices has been acceptable the CT3s should provide a more robust system.Unlike the earlier CT2 sensors, the CT3 sensors are not supplied with spacers for the magnet mounting. Onvis support promptly resolved this issue for me.

Great Product that works with Apple Home
I have an Onvis motion sensor, and now I have acquired these Smart Contact Sensors as well. I like the fact that they connect directly to my Apple Home with ease. With a smart door lock and contact sensors on my doors, I can simply close the door behind me, and it automatically locks using automation. I can monitor whether my door is open or closed through either the Apple Home App or the Onvis Home App, which is pretty great. I can confidently say that I'm pleased with the products from Onvis, and I will most likely purchase more sensors in the future.

Done with Onvis
Have tried multiple Onvis products for the Matter/Thread support with Apple HomeKit and I'm pulling it all out of my smart home setup and going to Zigbee devices with Home Assistant. The Onvis stuff has been very unreliable. Clear line of sight with the hub about 20 feet away. Replaced with Zigbee devices and it's been rock solid ever since. These contact sensors I was able to return unused. To add insult to injury they deducted a "fee" from my refund. So much for Prime "free" refunds. No more Onvis for me.

Can't appear as a tile in Apple Home "Favorites" view
The product functions correctly and was easy to install into Apple Home. However, I had hoped the device could appear as a Tile in the Home view of the Apple Home app. This would give me the open/closed status of all entries into my house; one look... all are closed/locked. I don't understand why the option to "Include in Favorites" is not provided.

Very easy to set up!
Very easy to set up with Apple HomeKit. Does not require that you have an Aqara hub, just an Apple home hub (I have the iPod mini).

Great value for a Thread door/window sensor
I'm thrilled that more vendors are starting to offer Thread/Matter compatible low power devices. This is stimulating price competition, to the benefit of consumers (i.e. you and me). The Onvis Door & Window contact sensor installed on the first try, and works perfectly with my Homekit setup to control a light in a closet. I'll install the second one soon on my crawlspace door to control the light switch that is in an almost unreachable location. I expect it will be as easy as the first.

Good sensor, lousy mounting adhesive.
The sensors work as advertised. Homekit installation was easy though not without some hiccups. The mounting adhesive totally failed after two days releasing from both wood and metal doors and frames painted with latex. Very disappointed and mounted with 3M Heavy Duty double sided tape. A week later and that's holding.
