My girlfriend is a Filipina, so you know she is going to be storing and eating rice almost every meal. I bought her a much more expensive Aurora storage unit for her home, that measures and dispenses one cup at a time. This unit we bought to use at my home. It stores plenty of rice (25 lbs. plus), and the bowl has a measuring scale, although you must manually stop dispensing when you have enough. The catch bowl has slots so you can pre-wash the rice while still in the bowl. My daughter likes it so much, she wants me to buy more for dispensing cereal and dry beans. My opinion is that this storage unit is every bit as good or better than the more expensive unit, and I highly recommend it.

There is a tear in the lid so the bin doesn’t close all the way and the lid is not fully sealed.Very low quality plastic and I should’ve paid a couple dollars more for a nicer one but I liked that this one came with a storage drawer.
