Oroweat Italian Bread 20 Oz Loaf (Pack of 2)

I love this brand of bread. The slices are generous, the best is always fresh. My only complaint is it’s almost impossible to find in my local stores. So I’m thrilled amazon sells it! Being in a wheelchair, I find getting my groceries online makes my life so much easier. I’d be lost without amazon.

I love oroweat Italian bread, but it is very hard to find. I was very happy to see I could obtain it through Amazon. This bread stays fresh for a lot longer than most breads and is great for sandwiches.

This product is nothing like real Italian bread.

Delivered fresh but way overpriced. Nice for sandwiches.

I've loved Orowheat's Italian bread for years for toast, sandwiches, French toast, and bread crumbs. The packaging recently changed to include a mustard colored strip at the bottom and it's now sliced much thicker. Past packages contained 19 - 20 slices whereas loaves are now 16 slices per package. It's the thickness of Texas toast rather than sandwich bread and I intensely dislike the proportions for sandwiches as well as toast. Families are expected to pay the same or more for fewer slices of bread --> corporate greed in action. Orowheat has permanently lost this customer for all of their products.

If you like salty bread - this is for you. It's light and spongy, which is pleasant. The saltiness is a bit too much for my taste. I would not buy again, and instead go with Orowheat Potato bread or Country White, which are slightly sweet, mild breads with out the salty taste.
