Poor quality
We purchased four reels. Two of them broke the first day we used them.

Big, Heavy-Duty Trolling Reel
I got this for trolling for bass (big stripers) in the clear waters of Arizona. I wanted a reel that would spin off the braided line smoothly, would be easy to retrieve with the large knob handle and would have a strong drag. This does that (although the drag is a star, not a lever like the product description says. You can adjust it for up to 25lbs of drag). There is a clutch lever on the right side and a button on the left you can use to allow the line to pay out, and then shift to stop it.They say it’s good for casting but I don’t use my trolling rigs for that. I want to drop the lure into the water and let friction drag it out without snarling or bird-nesting. I want to be able to set the reel when I’ve paid out enough line. When I get a strike, I want the drag to kick in, and then count on being able to crank in the fish without having any worries about reel performance. This does all that. One thing that puzzles me. My other trolling reels have a guide at the front of the reel that you thread the line through. As you retrieve, that guide moves back and so the line is wound evenly across the spool and you don't get any pile-ups. This reel has nothing like that. A star off for that. The reel is large and has heft to it. It's hard to tell from the photos how big it is: the reel portion itself measures about 4-inches across, a little under 7 if you include the handle, and 3-inches in diameter. You can lengthen or shorten the handle by taking it off and remounting it with the spindle through one of the other mounting holes.

SO far so good
This has worked great so far everything feels smooth and well made, Ill need to test it out on some larger fish but so far so good!

Small for its model size. But seems to work good.
This is a well made conventional reel. I was expecting it to be a lot bigger in size. I have a shimano tdl 25 that is bigger than this sougayilang 50 but never the less it’s still a well made reel. It has the same features any conventional reel has. I did change the handle from where it came to the hole at the end. This makes the handle longer and Everest time it spins it will recover more line. I recommend this modification right of the batt. This will make the reel a bit faster. The drag seems to work ok. Haven’t been able to test it out in the water. I’m waiting for a rod that I ordered and I will but some 30lb braided line so that it can carry more line than the 330 yard of mono it can hold. The reel Is secured by stainless steel screws. The knob on the handle arm is rubberized and fits comfortably in my hand. The drag is easy to adjust. Overall great reel for its price range just smaller than what I expected but I guess the name has nothing to do with the US reel sizes we are used to. But can’t complain for the price and quality.
