Kingfisher Fly Tying Blackfoot True Rotary Fly Tying Vise

This is a nicely built solid vise. I have now tied two dozen midges with no clamping complaints. Tight immovable head with a ball bearing pivot. Easy tension adjustment with a silky smooth rotation. And, importantly, a very heavy base. The vise is a dead ringer for the Renzetti Traveler at 1/3rd the cost. If you do not need a name brand, this is a great buy.

I bought this for my travel kit, so mostly tying smaller flies, non-rotary. It’s bulky for that but not anywhere close to the ease of use of the larger Kingfisher vise which I use much of the time.

Great vice for a beginner who doesn’t wanna break the bank very satisfied with the purchase

I ordered this vice twice. The first one had an issue with the rotary connection between the base & and horizontal arms. It was wobbly (not a good feature for fly tying). So, I returned it thinking the replacement would solve the problem. Nope. The attachment was still loose and wobbly. Sent that one back and was issued a refund. I can't recommend this vice.

The case was busted. The clips that hold the case shut were broken off. The case was busted on the inside, it’s a wonder that the vice wasn’t damaged. Not satisfied but it’ll do.

Real cheap right out of the box, none of the 4 set screws stay tight, the entire vise spins and the locking lever locks in the outward position and is in the way of your thread or anything else your trying to wrap. 0/10

The post connection at base doesn’t get tight.No assembly instructions included
