???? Don’t understand what I bought

The iron has a hook to keep the upper portion closed (it opens, I assume, to allow for adding water/steam). But the hook doesn't stay very secure. it is a little too thick to close securely. (I'm using it as a stage prop, so don't want it flopping open.) also, a screw for the inner part was not attached, though fortunately it was in the box.

This has a vintage look but can be styled any decor.
