ISOtunes Sport Advance BT Shooting Earbuds: Tactical Bluetooth Hearing Protection (Matte Black)

Effective EarPro, Long Battery Life, Surprisingly Good Sound
I use them at the range, for hunting, and working with power equipment. The hearing protection is excellent. Select the correct size ear tip, and they effectively isolate noise and are all-day comfortable. (The ear tips do need occassional replacement to maintain protection.) Battery life is never an issue. I've used them for 8-10 hours a day for several days without having to charge them. With 7 external sound levels and directional microphones, it is easy to maintain situational awareness, have a conversation or hear movement in the woods. Bluetooth connectivity is a bonus, and the audio quality when listening to music or podcasts is surprisingly good. However, volume level is limited to a 'safe' level. They are earpro afterall.Wind noise and clicking or sharp sounds will cause the sound to be clipped, but I've gotten used to it and don't find it distracting. Phone calls are possible and the incoming audio is clear, but I'm told that my voice is very muffled. This is the first time I'm writing a product review, and I chose to write this one because of Isotunes Customer Service. About a week ago, the right earbud audio stopped working. I contacted Isotunes Customer Service via the Amazon product link, and recieved a prompt response with a request for additional information which I provided. Although the headset was purchased in April 2023 and legitimately out of warranty, I explained it was a Father's Day gift that wasn't unboxed until June. Isotunes sent me a replacement set within hours. I was pleasantly surprised.

Great directional sound and battery life
I use it all day long and forget that it’s in my ear. Quality of sound is great. The directional sound is excellent. Use it both at range and while hunting. Able to listen to music on my phone while still hearing my surroundings clearly. The cut out of gun shots work perfect. Used it a dozen times This season already and very pleased. I don’t go hunting or to range without it.

Very disappointing!!!
I was looking for a great Bluetooth earpiece because my beats pro got damaged in one ear after 9 months. I read the reviews of this product and was excited to buy it. On first set, I was very impressed with the premium packaging. The device itself was so thick and not very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes however it looked very durable. The varying buds are a winner until you try them on, every single one didn't stay in my ears. The sound was heartbreaking, clear enough but it wasn't loud. The noise cancellation was zero. I wish I went for the beats pro again or the refurbished Bose I initially picked. It is zero value for money, for me. Unfortunately, I can't return as I leave in Nigeria.

My opinion compared to the walker razor x retractable ear buds
I specifically only like the type of ear buds that run wires to the main unit which I can wear around my neck. I don’t like the all in one type like air pods style so that didn’t leave me a ton of choices. I have been using the walker razor x retractable which are around a 180 bucks. The way these work and all shooting ear buds is basically you have a foam ear plug that silences the sound like any other $2 foam ear plug. However they have a microphone built in to amplify conversation etc. When a sudden loud noise like a gun shot happens they basically shut off the microphone and your left with the foam ear plug with no power to it so silence sounds like any other foam ear plug. With that said, any brand will sound the same silenced. There is no brand that silences sounds better than another because they all rely on a foam ear plug. Where the difference lies is a good brand is quicker to silence and has a better microphone to pick up sounds when you need it as well as good audio control, comfort and battery life. So let’s get into it, especially compared to the walkers I have been using for a long time.1. Power cut off to silence sudden loud sounds: no difference than the walkers. Almost instantaneous. A+2. Microphone: much better than the walkers at being able to pick up conversation. Almost as good as the big bulky over the head and ear type of headphones which are the best because of the design. However if you lay your check flat against a rifles buttstock to look through a scope, you can’t with the big headphones. That’s why I get these specifically. Where these are worse than the walkers is they pick up more wind noise outside however with the walkers you can’t even barely hear normal conversation. The walkers are garbage as far as that goes. A-3. Audio control: the volume from completely off to the next level up where the microphone picks up stuff is way too much of a big gap. You either hear nothing like a cheap $2 foam plug or go to loud, louder or loudest on the settings. The walker def has these beat here. C4. Comfort: not as comfortable as the walkers. They have a loop that goes over your ear and the wires are not long enough to rest on your neck so they kinda hang there. There is a clothes hook that comes with them however to attach it to a collar etc. The walkers have a neck brace type apparatus that lays on your neck with only a wire going to the ear plugs. An awesome setup. Still, the isotunes are not bad at all and you barely notice them. BBattery life: here is where the walkers really are horrible. Can’t get more than an hour and a half without it dying shutting off. The ISOtunes last much much longer. How long? I don’t know yet but after a 4 hour range session the ISOtunes were still going strong. A+They both have excellent Bluetooth connectivity. Overall, The ISOtunes are def much better than the walkers. You can actually hear when people are talking to you and they don’t die after 90 minutes. Comfort although slightly less is similar. It’s a small gap unlike the battery life and mic clarity. I would buy the ISOtunes again in a heartbeat. Hopefully they last a while and don’t die on me within a few months. I will update any long term observations

True noise cancelling
I like that the headphones cancel out noise completely, you have to make sure the foam is expanded in your ear. Then , press the volume on the side and you can hear your surroundings come through.

Used, not advertised as such
This is the second pair over purchased that was covered in earwax, were clearly used, and not advertised as such. They very well might be good headphones but considering how deep you need to insert them in your ear canals, I’m too grossed out to find out

Worked great until left ear started crackling
I was very impressed with these until the left ear started crackling badly. I only used them maybe 3-5 times. I contacted IsoTunes support. Hopefully they will help me because Amazon won't.

Sound control isn’t great
I bought these to use at work in an industrial facility. The TSC can’t be turned off which I knew when I purchased however; it seems to have an affect on battery life as I’ve never gotten more than 7hrs without having to recharge, I’ve only had them for a week. When used in an open area you can hear a wind like noise. When used in a constantly loud area the noise let through seems to almost pulse. Additionally the sound quality is mediocre. For the price I believe there are better options on the market.
