Awesome little invention and works great before I got this ants all over and in the hummingbird feeder

This is so simple and works exactly as needed to keep ants away from hummingbird feeders when all else failed.

My wife…..I had been fighting ants like crazy until my sister said she uses moats. I found these adorable umbrella moats on Amazon and thought I had to have them. Not only are they super cute in the garden but THEY WORK!!!!!!! They are a must for Hummingbird feeders!!

I was skeptical, but these really do prevent ants from getting in the feeders! And the cups are big enough, water doesn’t evaporate too quickly, and cute, like little upside down umbrellas!

The subject product is well built and works very well keeping ants away from the hummingbird feeder.I am very satisfied with the product.

After 3 years of my hummingbird feeder being in the exact same location, on top of a 6 foot shepherd's hook, under a rain dome, millions (well, dozens and dozens at least) found my feeder and it was nasty. Who knew the solution was as simple as this? Works great, a few ants have tried and failed, but most are smart enough to not even make the attempt. Hooray!Tip: I couldn't see it on the box, but the long hook goes up into the bottom (the recessed area) and the short hook goes on top, otherwise the short end barely clears the moat.

I am using two of them and hang my hummingbird feeders from them. No more ant problems. They have bugs drowned in them so I know they’re keeping them away from the feeders.

The moats decreased the number of ants making it down to my feeder, but didn’t stop them completely. It’s worth a try. The seller was very responsive, provided helpful support, and ended up refunding me for the product (which I appreciated).
