Pretty neat
The songs all sound amazing, and there is a nice note guide in the back in case you don't know what a certain note is. The one's I have played sounded right. I have played flute for almost three years, and this book was easy. The songs vary in their difficultness, but I would recommend having some experience playing before buying this. Honestly, I only play a few of the songs, the other ones seem rather dull. Here are the pieces in the book:1. Star Wars (Main Theme)2. Jar Jar's Introduction3. Augie's Great Municipal Band4. Qui-Gon's Funeral5. Duel of the Fates6. Anakin's Theme7. The Flag Parade8. Across the Stars9. The Arena10. The Meadow Picnic11. Battle of the Heroes12. Cantina Band13. The Throne Room14. The Imperial March15. May the Force be With You

Fun and mostly easy
The sheet music is fabulous and playing those songs I've loved for years is so much fun. The only reason that I have it 4 stats instead of five is because the accompaniment on the CD is really quiet (yes, the volume on my player was turned up) so on some passages it is difficult to hear the cues that help things flow. I've purchased several of the Hal Leonard series and have never had this problem. This is my first Alfred Publishing purchase. I'm waiting on the arrival of that one too see if this is a fluke or a trend. Either way, I'm enjoying the product!

The force is strong in this book
My daughter is going into 7th grade and I needed some music for her to play over the summer. She loves this one, being an avid Star Wars fan. She has to grow into some of the songs, but it's helping her improve. The cd helps her a lot too.

Lots of fun to play
This is difficult pieces for beginners but lots of fun for moderately skilled to advanced flautists. We ended up using 2 keyboards to play some of the pieces such as The Empire Strikes Back, etc. the flute was lovely on the slower numbers and also Cantina Band. Too fun!!!

good inspiration for young flute players
I'm so glad I bought this for my son, who needs extra inspiration to keep practicing his flute. Playing Star Wars music helped him get over a slump in his flute playing. Though he plays less of it, I still occasionally hear the strains of the Imperial March, the Cantina song, or the Luke Skywalker theme.

Good, a bit pricy.
The music is good for beginners, and it is always fun to play well-known tunes. The backing tracks and demos are good quality, but they come on a CD (which are a rarity now).Pre-warning though, most of the songs on here were not written for the flute so they don’t sound as good as they do on the intended instrument. A good one to play for the flute is ‘Across the Stars’ because it was meant for the oboe which has the same range and is also in the woodwind family. It was a bit pricey considering it doesn’t come with a piano accompaniment (you have to buy a separate book for this).Overall it is a good product to buy if you are just looking to have some fun time playing your favourite StarWars tunes.

Excellent.
My son was losing interest in the usual uninspiring repertoire. Titanic's 'my Heart will go on', for instance; Ghastly stuff. This turned him around completely and his playing has been revitalised.
