Mostly I have been repairing ballistic nylon camping gear. I was using a sewing awl and waxed thread. Since I received this set, I have used the larger needles, curved needles, ring thimbles, waxed thread, heavy thread, and small needles. Having the wide selection of hardware available makes the job go so much faster and with higher quality work.

Was looking for something to repair a leather belt that a stitch came out of. This little kit was absolutely perfect!

The semicircle medium size needle worked great for a stitch repair for my leather truck seat.

Large cheapy set that combines a lot of tools needed for repairs.Not the highest quality but enough for my needs and I dont have to buy others.

This is a great selection of needles that can be used for many household repairs. There is also a seam ripper, needle threader and thimble included. Everything comes in a sturdy plastic case that is able to hold additional needles or other sewing notions. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because none of the needles come with any kind of descriptions as to what they are for. I know that some are for sewing and some are for embroidery and some are for upholstery, but there are a few that I am unsure how to use. It may be difficult for a non sewer to know how to use them.
