It keeps my tub shroom clean!!!
It actually works very well in stopping hair from going down the drain. I first installed a Tub Shroom and I noticed that the shroom was only catching long hair and not the really short ones, so I added this as a pre-hair catcher catcher, and so far, it keeps the tub shroom clean! But, BEWARE! If you get disgusted by mushy icky hair and soap scum combo - this thing catches both very well. Make sure it is positioned snugly flat to the bottom of the tub, since hair tend to stay low on the current and can slip in between the sponge and the tub floor. I clean this once a day, preferably dry. It is technically disposable and comes with 11 of it's siblings (you will need a pair of scissors to snip one off from the brood), but one will last for a while if you clean it. Unless my wife gets a hold of it first, gets disgusted and chucks it, then the 12 pcs will not last long. If that's the case then I'm probably going to experiment and look for a cheaper alternative. The coarse aquarium pre-filter (looks like a foam cylinder with a hole in the middle) is a good candidate. Cheers!

These help me keep my long curly hair out of my shower drains.
These help me keep my long curly hair out of my shower drains. I've saved time and money since I have not had to deal with a clog since I got these. Changing them out is very easy, but also a little gross simply because of the nature of collecting old, wet hair. I will continue to buy these.

Very Useful
I have an elevated drain, it works perfectly. Water still drains through it easily, it caught all the hair and it’s easy to clean/rinse if you don’t want to go through multiple a week.

Not what they used to be
Used to love these but the thickness of the ring has been reduced in size and doesn’t work as well. My last order was half the thickness of all my previous orders of these, but the price is still the same. Very disappointing!

Perfect for my Pup
I bought this product specifically for the purpose of catching my long haired puppy's fur when I wash her in the sink. This product is perfect for that purpose then I just take it off and toss it when I'm done washing her. I would never use it for anything other than a one time wash or for prolonged periods of time as I think it would get gross, difficult to clean and would slow water drainage. I would not recommend leaving it on your drain long term but it is perfect for one time users then just throw it away with all the trapped hair. Just note that it could become costly if you have to throw it away every time you wash your hair but it's perfect for my puppy's baths since they're not as frequent as hair washing. A pack of 24 will last me a year.

Not as practical as advertised.
I bought this product for my daughter's bathtub because she has long hair. I thought it would be a convenient way to catch hair. However, I didn't see all the downfalls this product brought. First, the sponge is a haven for mold and other slimy stuff. Second, the design is not as practical as it seems. The sponge not only traps hair and clogs up the drain, it also slows the flow of water and stops everything else from passing. After a few weeks, the sponge was gross. We got fed up and threw it away. The sponge may seem clever, but it is only good at holding liquids, not solids like hair. As hair is not a liquid, it just gets stuck AROUND the sponge, where you have to grab it with your bare hands, or goes UNDER the sponge, defeating the purpose. Plus, do you really want a sponge sitting in your tub that's filled with your dirty bathwater? Overall, this product may seem convenient, but it isn't when you look at it up close. It's gross to have to remove the sponge. In fact, it's easier to use the snake and pull out hair the orthodox way. This may not work for me, but it may work for you; this is just my experience. However, I won't use this product again.

Works
Simple to use on my bathroom sink. Catches all the hair and anything else. Last quite awhile if youclean it off frequently. Not sure why it’s bright yellow since most sinks are white, but I’ll live with it.

Product absolutely works, but you throw it out after each use
It’s the only hair catcher I’ve ever used that actually catches all of the hair. I haven’t had to clear out the pipe since I started using these some months ago. This product *works.* If you need to keep the hair out of the drain, whether it be yours, your flatmate’s, or your dog’s, buy this.I hate that it’s one-use disposable, though, hence the four instead of five stars. In a better universe, a reusable product would be this effective. (I mean, I guess you could try to pull all of the hair/fur out and reuse it, but I don’t know how effective it’d be after that first use.)Still, this’ll keep the hair out of your drain, is super-easy to “install,” and just as easy to remove and throw away.

This Is the best hair drain catcher I've used.It does a better job at catching hair then the plastic and metal ones, and with this one you don't have to clean it. And it's very cheap

Simple Solution
These are just great, can't use the others because the stem comes up too high on my sink but these fit right around the top part and allow water to flow but wish they were white and not yellow. They so the trick.
