Interpet Airvolution Air Oxygen Pump for Aquarium Fish Tank Aeration, Ultra Quiet, Powerful, AV3 for Aquariums 101-150 Litre, Blue

I guess that Interpet's definition of quiet is not 'making little or no noise'. The pump is connected to a 12" bubble wall and produces an excellent stream of bubbles. It is situated near the base of the tank and, according to Interpet's instructions, I have a non-return valve in the hose next to the pump. It makes more noise with the non-return valve fitted. To be fair, the pump does not make any more noise than other 'quiet' pumps and, being more powerful I might have accepted the noise it makes but for the claim that it is quiet.

This pump is not good at all. twice we have had to have it replaced twice, after 5-6 months of use it made a very loud buzzing noise keeping everyone awake at night. It isn't silent at all generally.I think it was the diaphragm that had gone. Amazon were great, they replaced it twice and provided a free return label to send the old one.In the end I bought a Hidom pump, half the price of this one, and it is much more powerful and also a lot quieter. It also comes with a air flow control.

This pump is so quiet i can't hear it running at all! But only if you use it correctly! It only becomes quiet once both airlines are plugged into your airstone. If you do not use both the air outputs, it makes an awful noise. I overcame this by using a three way air line adaptor as i only have one LED airstrip in my tank. I'm very happy with it :)

Works fine on an 80lt hex tank. Smaller than my last one though, my last avmini is blue and twice as big like the av1. This one is teeny tiny and black. Gets a little warm too.. To be fair it would probably do my 125lt tank..

I have these air pumps for several weeks now and they are still very very quiet..I replaced my Ap 4...Ap3 air pumps..I would definitely recommend these ..anh just as powerful as my old style noisy pumps

I'm happy with this little air pump.It's a nice slim design, it's currently sitting next to my tank, I've had to put it near the front where it is visible as that is the only place where it seems to sit still and not travel about. I like that it comes with an airline and air stone, it would be better if it also came with a non-return valve which the instructions recommend you have if you're not placing the pump higher than the aquarium.It is quite loud. This is my first air pump so have nothing to compare it to. It reminds me of the old fridge/freezer we had, it's that same buzzing/humming noise that becomes background noise and you only hear when you actually think about. (I should add that I have two small children so my house is generally noisy, drowning out the little pump and most other things)I would recommend if you're not sensitive to a bit of 'white noise'.

This is a very compact little pump that appears to deliver quite a good airflow.I've got this positioned below my tank, so has a one-way valve in line which I suspect will reduce the airflow a tad. However, with around 5ft of airline going into 1ft air brick that is about 18" deep, the flow is still excellent. The pump is quiet and has been running continuously in a cabinet for over a year with no problems.There's no flow adjustment on this however, and the design makes it tall with a small footprint. Not a problem unless the host pushes the pump over or against something, THEN you can hear it vibrating against the surroundings!On the whole a quiet, powerful and reliable product.

This product worked well for a year then started to make a loud buzzing noise. This is my second one as the first was replaced by Amazon after doing the same thing so can't recommend this item to last
