exactly as advertised
handsome metal feeder - I am upgrading from plastic that squirrels and raccoons beat up. heavier than expected, hangs nicely from a shepard's hook in the yard. I use safflower seed now to deter starlings and squirrels. the feed comes down to the banquet circle smoothly and does not choke or overflow in spots. cardinals, red headed house finches, chickadees and smaller birds have no trouble perching and eating. wire loop hanger is thick and seems strong. paint job is smooth. easy to load through the top. seems it will last a long time. very simple, open design; if it gets dirty looks like I could just squirt it with the hose.so far so good, glad I gave this feeder a try. worth the price. highly recommended.

A sturdy bird feeder
A sturdy feeder that is easy to fill and has a wire hanger that should last forever outside. The lid has a push button release for lifting it up for filling and it is relatively easy to work. It has a large capacity.

Pretty great
It’s actually pretty great. When I first put it out, it came @unscrewd@ twice and I feel like I got lucky it didn’t break. Use tools instead of just finger tighten. Been all good since. Stays dry, practically no waste. The blue jays seem to be too big for it, which makes me a little sad because they are used to eating here. But all in all a really good feeder.

The squirrel can still get bird food, but he has to work harder.
The feeder itself is very attractive . Only problem I have an acrobatic squirrel. He hangs upside down on the little above and then pulls the item up till he can get to the bottom and eat. I had no idea that That a squirrel could stretch so long.

Easiest feeder to refill.
I have five feeders going for the birds. Two of the five are this bird feeder. It is my favorite due to its ability to fill quckly and no hassles. I currently go through 40# a week of bird seed. Love my birds, and I love this feeder.

I love this bird feeder.
I'm very impressed with this bird feeder. It has a metal body and the container is sturdy hard plastic. The holes are larger so that larger pieces of seed can come out. This is SO much better that the plastic junk in the stores (that I have thought). You will not be disappointed with this purchase. Love, love.Update: I placed the feeder on a not so strong branch and it was windy and my new feeder hit the ground and partially on the cement slab. It didn't break, didn't crack or dent. This is a great feeder!
