Very tight, even on my size 5 feet. Thick, synthetic fabric, not soft or cottony.

I like the thickness and I can tell if they're gonna last a long time. They're not cheaply made.

I love the quality of construction and materials in these socks. They are very well made and designed to correctly hug your foot so they don't slip or migrate out of place over time/wear. They quickly have become my favorite ankle socks as the small 'tabs' fore and aft help to put on and remove with ease. The only complaint is they do run a little on the small side. My shoe size is a 9.5 and there is no M/L size (which feels like it would have been perfect). Instead, you are forced to order a S/M or L/XL. Most men will need the larger size I would imagine as these do tighten up a bit after a wash.

These are good for sport as the are not quite 'no show' and give some coverage to heel and ankle area which can rub during sport.

They cover my feet and are breathable.
