CANPUMPCF 3030 G: 3000 psi @ 3.1 US gpm, 3/4-in Shaft Pressure Washer Pump

I only had it a short while but already you can tell the 3,000 psi triplex type pump is alot more efficient than the rotary style 2,700 psi pump it replaced. I could tell the differnce in pressure was significant when I first pulled the trigger on the spray gun. Putting a gauge on it verified I got over 3,500 psi static (regulator as high as it will go, before pulling the trigger) and then it dropped to around 2,500 psi at the gun when wide open while the rotary pump could only put out around 2,100 psi under the same conditions. I also noticed alot less heat from this pump versus the old one again likely due to the efficiency of the design. This is also why you always see commercial pressure washers with this type of triplex pump on there while cheaper ones use the rotary type.Setting it up was fairly easy as long as you have a 3/4" keyed straight shaft on the engine. In order to get it installed I had to make a 6mm stubby hex wrench (cut short to fit in tight space) to get it installed on my engine because there's very little clearance between the pump body and the engine mounts to screw in the allen bolts attaching to the engine. The allen set screw holding the key into the keyway was a good design touch (my old pump didn't have that and you could see the wear on the key from it moving under load). This pump comes dry and it takes 10W30 non detergent oil (it's non-foaming oil, do not use motor oil in there!!!) which you can get at your local HD quite easily. I like that it uses a quick release coupler for the pressure hose too instead of the screw type attachment. It also comes with a spare set of seals for the pump which is helpful for future maintenance.Overall great value for the money and hopefully this will be a good performer over the long haul.

I purchased this pump for my Dewalt DXPW3025 3000 PSI pressure washer after the stock AAA 8.7Ga12 pump blew out for no apparent reason. The pressure washer uses a Honda GX160 engine, which is on the lighter side of the engines mentioned here in the reviews.As you can see, the CAN Pump is a perfect fit. Installation is a breeze, it literally is four bolts holding it in to the keyway, so you merely rotate the input shaft to match the keyway and the pump will bolt right on.Don't forget to add oil! This pump doesn't come with any. I purchased the Amazon Mi TM AW-4085-0016 "power washer pump oil". A bit pricey for the bottle size and it is just short of the right amount. Similar oil is available at a particular "orange" store near you if needed.Note that the sight glass (pictured) will read just shy of half full if you pour in the entire bottle. When the washer is in use, the oil level drops to almost nothing in the sight glass! At first I thought the oil was gone, but when the pump was shut down the sight glass level gradually returned to the halfway mark.The pressure is what my old 3000 PSI pump used to do - this one is the same PSI but 3.1gpm rather than 3.0 but I didn't really notice a difference. The Honda drives it without struggling and it performs well. Time will tell how long it will run, but I am hoping with proper maintenance and "pump protector" fluid between uses I can get as much or more usage out of this beast.Overall I am pleased with my purchase and it was a lot cheaper than dropping $700 or so on a new pressure washer.DECEMBER 1 2021 UPDATEThis pump is still going strong! Replaced on a 15 year old Dewalt it was an easy fit on Honda gx200 engine. The old pump had an adapter plate 4 1/4” centers but the engine is the 2 9/6? Center. Ordered Tuesday evening I received it Thursday afternoon and bolted it on in 30 minutes or so used it about an hour next day Friday used 6 hours and this thing is great, I did get larger tips mine were rated at 3 gallon max. On the back side this thing looks great the mat black with cooling fins and brass I love it
