I am not a pro angler and just starting to put my gear together. I don't really know what to look for in fishing line, but I like that this is braided line seeming to give it more strength for the thickness. I will mostly be leisure fishing off the lake bank or from my kayak in streams. Purchase this braided fishing line rated at 30 lbs. on my third cast the line snapped causing me to lose a $20 lure. Worst braided line I have ever bought. I don’t recommend it to anyone. What absolutely waste of money. I do not recommend it for anyone!!!

I love the feel you get fishing with braided line, and being able to sense even the slightest bite.I've typically spooler my reels with 15-20lb braid, and this braid seemed reasonably priced and close enough in strength to give it a try.I spooled over 150yd of this line on one of my baitcast reels and trialed it out casting an 1/8oz jig. The line definitely isn't silky smooth, and I would say that it probably did slightly impact my casting distance, but for the price I'm more than willing to accept that very slight performance dip.To start, the braid is definitely as large or larger diameter than the 20lb braid I've typically been using (Trilene). It also doesn't appear to have much of any coloring or stains. The lack of color/stain isn't a problem for me, as all that stuff typically just stains your hands, reel, and rod after a few trips on the water.While doing some night fishing, on a few retrieves the tide drifted me into some dock pilings, and I was able to pull out of them about as well as with other braids, so I'd say the abrasion resistance is adequate.In conclusion, I was satisfied with the overall performance of this braid and would probably buy again before spending 3x as much on a nicer brand.

Ordered this to string on a bait casting reel for a fishing trip I just went on. This line did not show any signs of breaking and was probably to high of a lbs system for where I was fishing. However, once I did get a fish on the line I was not worried about the line breaking at any point, I was actually more concerned about the tip of the pole giving out.Overall, this is great fishing line for very large or aggressive fish.

I bought this to replace the mono I had been using for surf casting. The diameter is so much smaller than mono, it takes a bunch to fill your reel. Performs as well as other brands I’ve used, but at a better price.

I have purchased this line before, a spool of 20lb test and a spool of 10lb test. Completely in love with the 20lb test, but for some reason, have been having issues with the 8lb test. Line knots for no reason, and even the line breaking with no real stress on it. The spool of 8lb test may have been just a bat batch, no idea, just sharing my experience. Been fishing for 61 years for the reference. Have fly rods, spin setups, and bait casters. Will add, braided line is the way to go for freshwater fishing for sure.
