yes this is paintable. A satin black spray paint covers the damage the birds cause, mine is primarily used to hand suet baskets, and changing the color is doable but will require a few thin coats.

Q: For those who have this, how did you secure it in the ground?

I didn't secure it to the ground. I put it in a gate way of my chain link fence and used wires to secure it to the chain link fence. We live in a place that gets pretty high winds from time to time and it's held up well with how we fastened it. I hope that helps.

Q: Can this arch be used indoors for a wedding? Would it stand on its on?

It needS some stability in order to stand on its own. If you are going to put vines and/or flowers on it, perhaps you could put the legs in pots. Otherwise it will just fall over at the slightest touch.

Q: I want to put this in a raised garden bed that will contain vegetables. Is this made of material that is safe to put in dirt where vegetables grow?

This is painted steel. I would thinks it’s fine. if i are concerned about that paint eventually “leaking” into the ground you the can either sandpaper the paint off of the legs or wrap the bottom of the legs with a moisture resistant covering. You can also call or email the manufacturer
