Mino Yaki (Mino Yaki, Mino Ware) is a generic term for ceramics produced in areas spanning Toki City, Tajimi City, Mizunami City and Kani City in Gifu Prefecture. On July 22, 1978, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (current Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) has been certified as a traditional craft product. Gifu prefecture Tono area, where Mino-yaki is produced mainly, is Japan's largest ceramic production base, accounting for about half of the Japanese pottery production.
