Our 6yo daughter is reading this at school so we also bought for home. She absolutely loves it. Nice one for her to read by herself

A good story
Very basic words and story, but perfect for learning to read, or for a baby with short attention span. I only dropped one star as I found it quite pricey based on how short a story it is.

Very sweet story - my daughter loves Jasper
This book is a great first reader. Even if you want to read it to your child, it will be very well received. The story is so cute and moves very quickly along so there is no chance of boredom setting in. The illustrations are incredibly informative and really help to tell the story. There is plenty on each page to talk about after you've read the corresponding words. I'd really recommend adding this book to your child's library. It's full of charm.

Five stars
Our Reception class has really enjoyed this story. We created a story map and enjoyed retelling the story with our own actions. The story inspired us to plant our own beans and watch them grow. The children thought Jasper was a very cute and awesome cat.

Jaspers bean took on a life of its own.
This was recommended reading for children in the lockdown period. I read this to my 5 year old grandson and we both enjoy the illustrations and the story.

Great book for teaching young children
This is a very sweet little book about growing a beanstalk. I’ve used it for teaching in nursery- year 1. It’s a great way to introduce children to gardening and it’s also a good book to use for doing recount writing.
