Have fun with this solidly built pasta roller!
Our first time using a pasta roller. We chose this model because it was affordable and we assumed it wasn't that critical for us to have pasta precisely uniform in width.1. The attachment fit our KitchenAid nicely. We have a 30 year old model, not a professional grade.2. Pasta dough didn't appear uniform after a 15 minute rest period, but that didn't seem to matter. With repeated feeds and folds at size 8-6, the texture became more uniform. Continued rolling down to size 3-0 on single passes gave us much joy.3. I tried flouring, rolling the dough into tubes, and cutting finely with a knife, but this still led to rolled dough balls by the time I reached the last few to unravel. Ultimately, we found using a pizza cutter was faster and more fun!4. Enjoy you pasta roller. Your kitchen counter will turn into a mess, but what a fun family project, knowing you can create your own fresh pasta with only flour, salt and eggs.5. Cleanup of the attachment was easy. Just use the provided brush to sweep away any dried particles.6. Side note: we didn't follow the included instructions exactly. Certainly, it seemed speed 1 was sufficient for our rolling. In summary, I'm very pleased we decided to get a kitchen aid attachment instead of a hand roller. Oh, and I also have the KitchenAid pasta extruder, but I it eventually cracked and just seemed to cause the mixer motor to heat up and overwork. The pasta roller is a much nicer tool in comparison. Most of all, have fun. Use the tools in your kitchen that really serve essential purposes. Recycle those that just sit around and cause clutter.

Better than KitchenAid
I have three sets of KitchenAid brand pasta rollers and all three of the pasta rollers are broken; and one of the linguini cutters is broken. I bought this last year and it works great and has yet to break! In fact, I just ordered another one (we make A LOT of pasta) since the price is almost half of what it was last year - which was still way way less than KitchenAid’s. I even have 2 KitchenAid mixers so I don’t have to swap out the roller and the cutter. The KitchenAid attachment has these delicate plastic parts that dry out and crack and cannot be repaired. It’s such a lousy design flaw or it’s purposeful so saps like me have to keep buying them. My KitchenAid branch food grinder also broke - the entire body is plastic and it has a crack where the metal bolt attaches to the machine. It’s completely worthless since there is no way to prevent something growing in there. My off brand grinder is metal, it also cost a fraction of the KitchenAidCrap, and it has yet to fail me. After decades of loyalty, I’m hoping off the KA brand junk train.

Easy to use.
I've used this for a couple of years now and not had any problems with it. Just make sure you wipe it off and DO NOT WASH IT, especially in the dishwasher. I usually wipe it down and make sure any dried out pasta is out of it before I put it into a gallon zip lock bag to store.

fits KitchenAid mixer snugly, a good daugh presser for making Chinese steam buns
The unit fits my Kitchenaid well snugly and I used it in the widest setting to press air bubbles out from the raised dough, which is essential for double raised buns. It is built with solid/heavy-weight material, although I am bit concerned about the plastic like material on one side of the pressing lips, time will show. Not sure why "do not wash or immerse in water" is mentioned tho, which is somewhat inconvenient. There is some periodic noise with 1st unit received (possibly by the shipping damage -- holes shown on one end of package), but replacement is much better. Manufacturer should improve the packing on the protruding end. Overall I am fairly happy with the product, and the seller (gvode inc) is awesome!

Very useful
We are Italian and always make homemade pasta. This has made it so much easier to roll out the dough. It has different settings to help get it to your desired thickness. If you make lots of pasta I highly recommend using this to make your life easier.

Does a great job and really saves time and your hands and wrists
For years I have made eggroll wrappers by hand and recently rolling out 20 wrappers really kills my hands and wrists. I finally took the plunge and bought this and best Kitchenaid attachment EVER! It fits right into my Kitchenaid stand mixer. Then screw it in place with screw and you are ready to roll your pasta flat. The rollers are smooth and great. They are a bit of a chore to clean, but it is worth it to be able to make 50 eggrolls instead of 20 in 45 minutes. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the numbers for thickness is barely readable. I just rely on look to see the thickness.

A little disappointed with metal pasta guide plate.
The pasta roller works great. But was disappointed that the metal sheet holder was badly scratched. It was scratched so bad that the pasts was getting caught on the metal plate.
