EAG XJ Steel Front Bumper with Winch Plate Fit for 84-01 Cherokee XJ / 84-01 Comanche MJ

So, first impression, like my rear EAG bumper this thing is pretty freaking sturdy. Welds look fine to me. I can't say for certain if it will stand up to winching just yet but if I haven't updated my post to say it failed you can just assume it hasn't yet. I noted some of the other reviews said that the powdercoating came off in some areas and the bumper started rusting so I coated it in a bunch of bed-liner. Time will tell if that holds up but for $35 a pretty good preventative measure I think. Also helps in deleting the EAG stamp on it. Assuming it will hold up to winching the truck out of snow I think it's a great bargain at $500. Ultimately, this isn't like a winch, locker or some other complex piece of equipment. It's just a giant piece of steel. It's not hard to engineer something like that properly.Note: if you have full frame stiffeners this will not fit as is. I had to drill out the holes on the brackets that mount to the bumper so they would provide a wider fit. If you want to use frame tie-ins you will also have to drill out the mounting brackets.

Pretty simple to install my Boyfriend and I put it on after work one night.Haven’t hit anything with it or pulled anything.Good shackles have rubber grommets for friction and noise. That’s a + and aren’t made in China.Over all impressed

Bought same bumper for my Jeep Rubicon . LOVE it! Only disadvantage? Don’t get in a fender bender with this bumper! It will demolish the car that u hit or if they backed into U! Definitely one tough bumper! Sturdy as H£!!

Installed this with a 12000lb winch and I’m surprised at how strong the bumper is.Used it to push through some saplings and not a scratch.Winched out a few times and no flex or movement in the mounting.Most impressed with this… we had a tornado come through and rip up dozens of very large trees blocking our road. I had no choice but to cut the trees and push and winch them out of the way. I spun the tires and dragged the jeep a few times while pushing and winching. The bumper looks exactly like it did when I installed it and hasn’t budged from where it was mounted. Truly impressive for the price.

Very rarely do I write a review, but the shipping on this product was simply finominal! Everything was packed tightly, the edges and corners even had silicone caps on them so as not to rip out of the wrapping or the box.Product itself seems well put together and very easy to install. Haven't tested the winch with it yet, but I have no doubt that it will hold up to the test.Great affordable option!

I also have a 12,000 pound winch on it now, it's an amazing bumper! I questioned the 3 bolt mounts but it hasn't let me down yet! I've pulled trees somewhat sideways to the Jeep and moved the Jeep before either bumper. I've pulled the Jeep from being stuck in 3 feet of hard snow as well and it hasn't budged. The shipping is phenomenal! Powder coating was perfect as well. Not very impressed with the welds on it. They're decent but could be better, but it is my only complaint on the bumper.

I noticed how well it was packaged so I was thinking this will be perfect shape till I get the phone off of it and there’s a big dent in the center bar with chip paint

I dislike that all pics show d-rings, but they aren't included. Also all welds on the outside are metal finished, leaving only a few stich welds on the backside. Aside from those items it looks great!
