Reliable operation, convenient and reasonably priced
Based on online reviews, I purchased an EVIQO. It was easy to install. The charger works reliably. Connection to the app is stable and reliable. The long charging cord enhances convenience of use as it reaches the middle space in our 3 stall garage. The reasonable price was also welcome. When we get a second EV, I am planning to purchase another.

Great EV charger at a price that won't break the bank
I'll admit, when I first saw the price of this charger, I thought "you get what you pay for...". But with this charger, you get a whole lot more! I was concerned that this charger might not match the quality of some of the other "name brand" chargers that sell for hundreds more, but I decided to take a chance and I was not disappointed. The charger was easy to install and the instructions were clear and concise. I did have to open it to set the small adjustment switch to the proper setting for my breaker, since I wanted it to charge at a lower amperage than it's capable of providing because my car only draws at about 30 amps while charging. It came with heavy gauge wire terminals that could have been connected to my breaker's #6 wire if I wanted to direct wire it, but I had already installed a NEMA 14-15 outlet on a 50 amp GFCI breaker. And by the way, the charger does not trip the GFCI breaker in my panel which is why many people prefer to direct wire them. A garage outlet is required to have a GFCI breaker by code, but in some cases, a device that has its own internal GFCI can cause nuisance trips. This charger has worked flawlessly with our GFCI-protected outlet with no nuisance tripping so far after several multi-hour charging sessions.Once installed, I downloaded the app which also works well. Sometimes vendors who make great hardware make terrible software, but as a software engineer, I can say that I really like the functionality and UI design of this app. I especially like being able to look at charging session history and see the number of kwh delivered and the total duration of that session. The charger runs well, although I only use it at around 30 amps since our EV only accepts a 7.5kwh charge on a level 2 AC charger. But so far it has charged at the maximum rate that our car allows, and does so without getting warm (these high-amp devices are always a concern with heat and fire). The cable easily reaches from one side of garage where it's mounted to the other side of our two-car garage where the EV is parked. The car's charging port is facing the center of the two-car garage, but there's still a lot of slack left over when charging. The charger "nozzle" fits the car's J1772 charging port without any issues and barely gets warm while charging. It's easy to engage and disengage as well.I would highly recommend this charger to anyone who has an EV and wants a level 2 charger to charge at home. You may be concerned, like I was, about the lower price, thinking perhaps it's lower quality. But it's not, at least in my experience so far. The hardware has good solid build quality to it, the app is intuitive and provides useful information, and it charges at the rate the car accepts (up to it's stated limits, of course). If you need a charger for your EV, the Eviqo is a great solution at a great price.

Product Review: EVIOQ Charger (6-Month Experience)
I’ve been using the EVIOQ charger for the past six months, and I’m thoroughly impressed. It has consistently performed well and exceeded my expectations.Hardware DesignThe hardware design is outstanding, made from high-quality, durable materials. I’ve installed mine in the garage, but its weatherproofing and security features would be invaluable for outdoor installations. The cable is excellent—durable, with a sturdy metal latch and a secure mechanism on the cable hook to keep the handle in place. I can tell a lot of effort was put forth in developing a quality product.Cable EvaluationAs charge current increases, power loss (calculated as current² × cable resistance) typically rises due to resistance in the cabling. To assess how the EVIOQ cable impacts the charging efficiency of my KIA EV6, I conducted experiments. I found no statistical correlation between charge current and efficiency. However, ambient temperature played a role—charging efficiency improved by 1–2% in cooler weather compared to hot days. My conclusion? The cable’s resistance is low enough to have no significant impact on charging efficiency.OperationMy utility provider offers discounts for charging between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM. While my car allows scheduling, I opted to use the EVIOQ charger’s scheduling feature instead. It was simple to set the start time making it convenient to charge at home without adjusting car settings when using public chargers. The charger reliably initiates charging as scheduled. I typically set my car to stop at 90% charge, and the app makes it easy to adjust the charge current—even mid-session. That said, after testing efficiency, I’ve set the charge current to 40 amps and haven’t needed to change it since. For added flexibility, the app allows you to manually start or stop charging. While I almost always rely on the schedule, it’s great to have manual control when needed.App FunctionalityThe app is user-friendly, making it simple to configure schedules and monitor charging sessions. It includes basic graphs for recent charging data and costs. One feature is the ability to define utility billing rate schedules, allowing the app to estimate charging costs. This has helped me calculate that charging at home is 5–6 times cheaper than driving my gas SUV here in Northern California. However, the app doesn’t yet accommodate seasonal rate changes, so I currently adjust settings manually when rates shift. I’ve contacted the EVIOQ team, and they’ve assured me that app improvements are planned to address this limitation, which I’m optimistic about.

A Very Nice Charger!
This is my first Level 2 charger, and we just bought our first EV. We chose Eviqo charger based on the amazon excellent reviews and the good value. Though just having the charger for less than two month, I think we made the right choice. Installation is easy, instruction is clear, the build quality is solid, the thick cables gave assurance for reliability though still easy to organize to the hanger. After installation the charger and the organized cables blend into our garage looking very well. I even liked the big LED. The app is very intuitive and gives us a lot of useful information.... All in all, it is a very nice product.

Nice quality smart charger.
Quality unit. RecommendedThe Eviqo is a well built unit with well thought out instructions making installation a breeze. I'm an electrician and was able to install the 14-50 receptacle to plug the unit into. The Eviqo comes with a 14-50 plug. This allows a 40 amp charge on a 50 amp circuit. You have the option of a 48 amp charge on a 60 amp circuit but will have to hardwire the unit. I like the holster that comes with it so you don't have to wrap the charging cable around the unit. The app connects up effortlessly and is very intuitive. Nice job. I like being able to track the charge cost.
