Love this Fruitcake! Best ever!

This fruitcake is a holiday tradition in our home and family! We all love it and lovingly call it “nut cake “!We stock up and freeze them to have handy when we need some holiday cheer in the winter.or summer. Sometimes we slice it and toast it in a pan to get some crispy edges. Delicious! They are made in small batches by hand in N.C. We have visited the store and you can watch them make their cakes and treats. Locally sourced ingredients and family owned. Enjoy!

My requirements for fruitcake are lots of fruit, lots of nuts, no citron, and deep rich spiced flavor.This one has no citron, not much fruit, lots of nuts, and very little spiced flavor.After tasting it, I’m soaking it in spiced rum, which will help some.It needs more brown sugar, more spices, and a better balance of fruit and nuts.It’s not dry, it’s expensive (I think), and tastes bland but ok.

So amazingly delicious! My husband dislikes fruit cake and he loved this! Don't understand the 3 star rating! This is chock full of nuts with the fruit is perfectly balanced. Not overspiced like cheaper ones which are trying to hide the poor quality of the ingredients. Southern Accents magazine recommends this and I agree it is simply the best I've ever tasted. So rich you only need a thin slice.
