A 'must have' for my KME
Quick delivery. Also got lapping film. That combo put a mirror edge on my first blade, using my new KME diamond system. The blank is thicker than a KME blank,so once you reset your angle,It's EZ-PZ,only used a 12/9/3 micron film to get that "Bling"

Works great for using lapping paper to put that mirror edge on all your knives

Be sure to readjust your angle
These are thicker than the kme gold stones, so when you switch to lapping films for polishing, be sure to adjust the angle appropriately. Otherwise, you'll likely be lapping the back edge of the grind only. Pretty easy to remedy with a digital angle guage or the KME adaptor for just this issue.

Get one while you still can
I’ve been using the 5-pack aluminum blanks from grit-o-matic for the past year with some silicon carbide sandpaper and double sided tape for knife sharpening with hair whittling results. They don’t come close to this glass blank with the same setup as before. However, you’ll have improved finishes on your edge if you switch to non-PSA or PSA lapping films. Downside to using this glass blank is the thickness is at 6.8 millimeters and the kme diamond stones provided in the sharpening kit are 4.8 mm thick, you’ll have to raise the sharpening angle 2 mm higher, to keep a consistent angle after using diamond stones.

The real deal
Well made and packaged but a tad expensive for what they are.
