Outstanding Resource!!!
This is a must-have resource for any veterinarian, or veterinary student interested in, practicing avian and exotics veterinary medicine! I know of no other single reference in the entire field that compiles such a vast amount of information in a comprehensive and accurate, but concise and reader-friendly manner. It is the one go-to book in my library where I know I can easily and quickly find my answers. If you are looking for a top-notch reference that will foster increased efficiency and competence in practicing avian and exotics veterinary medicine, you can stop looking because this resource is your answer!

this is a wonderful resource.
I wish that there was more separation between species. Otherwise, this is a wonderful resource.

Organised but missing info, hope next edition will be better
A good book in general, easy to find info. But I was a bit disappointed when I found no information at all about impacted caecum in rabbits, not even in the index. At the "intestinal disorders" it also goes on about stomach problems, however there is a separate chapter for that. Couldn't find anywhere mentioning blood glucose measurement in rabbits in the diagnostics of intestinal obstruction. There is some more about it in the laboratory findings chapter, but no cutoff-points for diagnostics, and it's not mentioned at the intestinal disorders at all. Also no info re parrot wing clipping (I know it's not primarily a health problem but it's still something you can come across in practice) . Otherwise a detailed book, organised, easy to find info.

It is a reference book, but not what I expected.
After having the experience with the 5 minutes veterinary consult avian, I was expecting something more from this book. However, it is quite helpful and has information on many other species. The structure of the book is nice and makes easy to find information.
