Automatic military pistol - standard grips version. 8 1/2 inch overall. Black finish zinc die-cast metal construction. A realistic non-firing duplicate of the standard Government Issue sidearm of the U.S. Soldier since 1911. The .45 caliber pistol was rugged and reliable and steeped in history and TRADITION from the Border campaigns against poncho Villa through wwi, WWII, korea, and Vietnam. Packaged in black composition storage case with gray foam lining and integrated carrying handle. Weight: 3 lbs.

Nice quality replica
Although the title says Denix replica made in Spain, the item is actually a non-firing version Kimar replica made in Italy. The fit and finish are excellent, - superior quality than similar Denix replicas. Size, weight and function are nearly identical to the real thing except in a few minor details (safety function, mag release, grip screws, grip safety). Makes a great display piece for filling WWI era holsters.

You cant do anything with this
The safety does not work, the slide does not lock back, the magazine does not release, you cant even take it apart. You can only cock it back and pull the trigger which only moves the hammer.

Almost there...
Weight and external appearance approximate that of the real 1911. The slide can be racked and locked to the rear and released. However, the safety does not work. With safety "on", the trigger can still be pressed and it will release the hammer. In addition, the magazine will not fit .45ACP rounds to simulate "loaded" weight. Magazine size is more like for a .22LR ammo. So, almost a replica but not quite. It is made in Italy though -:).I used this to carry around my residence to maintain familiarity and feel of q 1911 in the absence of the real pistol.
