No offense I thought these might be a lower quality because of the price but I was completely thrown off. While I was grateful for the watercolor brush, they said did not come with any type of watching paper. This has started to become a standard for all the watercolor sets. With that being said these have got to be some of the most pigmented paints I've ever worked with. The colors are absolutely brilliant the Neons are some of the brightest colors I've ever seen in the metallics are intense. A little bit of the metallic paint goes a long way. While other metallic paints are usually so much transparent these will layer on top of other colors and create amazing contrast. Really really surprised at how great these paints are.

I am more used to traditional watercolor brushes, but tried the provided watercolor brush pen. I took the cover off the acrylic fiber tip, and filled with water by squeezing the water reservoir, inserting the brush tip into a jar of water, and releasing the pressure. Doing this a couple of times will fill the reservoir.I did experiment with a few colors using the brush pen, used my traditional sable-tipped watercolor brushes as well. I do like the variety of colors, and the brush pen worked much better than I expected (though I didn't use the water in the reservoir much, and could stand to learn more technique for it).As some other reviewers have noted, the packaging is cardboard and may not last, especially if it gets wet a lot. I am being careful to preserve the packaging as the paints won't store very well without it. A metal case would be a big improvement. The paint wells are a little small, so it's easy to spill pigment between them if you're using a lot of colors. Overall, a good set for trying out watercolors to see if you like them. I'd recommend getting a couple of traditional brushes as well, if you don't already have them. Do a web search on using a "watercolor brush pen" to get some ideas of what to try out. I did notice that the acrylic brush tip doesn't get all the way clean with washing, but I don't think that it affects future use negatively.

The item received was used. The swatch sheet had swatched paint and the eraser was dirty from use.

these colors are amazing and so many to choose from. i love the metallics to highlight flowers. i will get a lot of use from this!

So far I've not found anything I don't like about the colors. The ones I've used are nice and pigmented, and work well on my mixed media paper.There is a beautiful selection of colors from basic colors to neons and metallics. I can't wait to create more with these and see what I can create.Would definitely both buy and recommend!

This is a great set of watercolors. I am still learning watercolors, so I haven't had a lot of experience, but I have really liked the variety of colors.
